Has the strap on your Casio worn out? Or do you just want to change it?
Watch and learn how to put your Casio F91W on a 18mm nato strap. This also works for the Casio A158W as i show you in the video. Although the method differs a little bit. Pictures of the end-result in the end :) This is a really fun way to get more fun out of your affordable digital Casio! So buy some nato straps and enrich your watch hobby with these small bundles of joy!
I made this video while doing this for the first time myself, so bare with me with the mumbling haha!
Hope this video helps! If not, let me know. Also comment if you have any feedback to give me! I will reply to all comments 8)

thanks for the tutorial, dude. i have f105w and since the strap that came with my watch broke i had to pick between nato and resin strap and i picked nato because it's more durable. for those who are wondering resin strap is indeed more comfortable but you get used to nato strap and you can pretty much forget about it breaking unlike the ones that come by default.

Getting those pins out was a real pain in the ass. Used a ball point pen to push them out and then slid out the straps and pulled out those pins - was easier. Pushed the watch against the edge of my wooden writing table to get the pins back in place. You're right it's easy once the pins are out. Pimped up my F91W with an 18mm bond. Cheers!

Nice! Yeah it really is a pain without the right tools.. the funny thing was that my springbar tool actually has a perfect pusher pin for the job. I just didn't know it when I made this video haha. Just have to screw off one of the "forks", flip it over and screw it back in. With the right tool it was easy!

Hi guys, my suggestion. The lugs are small and plastic, you dont want to damage them. Dont try to force the pins out with the resin (original) strap on. Take a straight-edge razor and carefully, slowly cut the resin strap in between the plastic lugs. Cut on the top of the strap and the bottom of the strap in the same area where the pin is located. Go slow and steady with the razor so you prevent injury. Twist the resin strap slowly until it tears away from the pin. Repeat on the other piece of the resin band. You can then fit a nato strap without taking the pins out, just guide the nato thru, you may need tweezers to help it thru. If you want to take the pins out, you can still do it, of course. But you may risk damaging the lugs, but it's still easier to force the pins out once the original, resin strap is taken off first. Force the pins out from left to right, with the back of the watch facing you with the scipt on the back in the readable position. The pin is tapered, so you dont want to force out the thicker side near your tool. (I love these little Casios, the original straps always break after you use them for a while, but dont throw away the watch. Just replace the old strap with a 18mm nato strap.)

@@reevder4867 Hmm that will not be easy and I don't know how it will look. If you want to try it, you will have to make cuts into the 22mm nato strap, like I do on the video on my channel where I put a 22mm nato strap on a casio ae1300wh. But still, the f91w is more tricky due to even tighter lugs.

Usual 'engineering' solution to poking small pins is to use the shank end of ordinary twist drills. Advantage of drills are that they are hardened and of known parallel diameter. (you'll ideally need a selection but I guess a 1.2mm drill would be a good compromise) Careful not to snap the hardened (=brittle) drill. Small pin-vise is ideal tool to hold and manipulate the drill. It would be interesting to measure the dia of each end of the strap pins using a vernier (Engineering OCD kicking-in maybe ?)
