In order for me to get the 600 a week, which I applied on March 30, I put myself as self employed as that technically is a gig worker. Already got a letter called continued claim form asking for earnings every 2 weeks. Claim ends 3-27-21 for me. Apparently I did it right and will get 600 a week until the end of July (I was told it was 4 months only but maybe you’re right about 39 weeks) , but it’s such a slow process of knowing what’s happening due to the covid 19 mass unemployment waves occurring. But yeah just apply. In California you can’t still collect even while working. IF ... your hours and earnings to a severe hit. Uber driver here. And business is gone.

Just to clarify: 1) the bulletin you are reading from is from the State of Arizona, not the Department of Labor. It just includes a link to the Dept of Labor's FAQ at the bottom. 2) California isn't the only one to give an approximate time frame to receive UI. The Arizona website you're reading from states it is approximately 3 weeks to process and approve an application and another 2 weeks after that to receive them. Like other states, they are talking about state benefits. They don't know when they will be set up to distribute the federal funds. That brings me to the next point that needs clarifying... 3) You correctly stated that UI is based on the amount of one's earnings, however it should be noted that applies to the unemployment which is funded by the state and not the unemployment that will be coming from the CARES Act.

Just a correction. The $600 a week fred unemployment is only until the end of July I believe. Most States, like mine (Oregon) let you draw State unemployment for 26 weeks and now they are extending that for 13 more weeks which totals 39 weeks.

I was denied unemployment because of attendance. I was working events and they dried up, in March, but my company did not fire me. March 12th was the last day I worked, and I filed unemployment on March 29th, then I made another weekly claim on April 5th. The money was denied because of attendance, I am presuming because I didn't take on one day for a week (March 29th) and one day for another (April 5th). I had two part-time jobs when I got all my shifts at my main job cancelled on March 6th, due to the COVID-19 situation. I opened an unemployment claim the same day, and have been filing claims every week since then. I worked a few shifts at my secondary job between April 4th and April 14th. Because of this, I had a few weeks when I didn't get any money from unemployment because of the earnings deduction. For each of these weeks, my earnings were higher than my weekly benefit amount. Will I be eligible for the $600 per week for those weeks I was filing an unemployment claim, but didn't receive money from unemployment because of the earnings deduction? I live in Washington state. In Louisiana, I have reduced hours (32 instead of 40). I'm still considered full time so I don't think I'm eligible. I applied but for my first week it said I made too much. The loss amount for me is around $540 per month. It says if you have reduced hours because of covid-19 You are eligible but the sit also says if you make more than the $247 per week you are not eligible. How do I make up this loss?

I applied for UI using my business info during lock down.. I'm very new to business & taxes, income was low & I read It was low enough to not need to be filed in taxes & that i could combine business years if need be.. Then covid hit.. As a non essential worker who lost the ability to make income I applied for UI during lockdown using my business info... But here is the thing.. When I looked at my claim it appears they went by my previous employer, which was the last taxes I filed.. Which may kinda screw me because I didn't get fired.. I had to leave because it was harming my health & I was already growing income on my own.. So I'm wondering how this works.. Do they only consider what's been taxed in their system forcing it to default to my previous employer or was I supposed to be eligible under cares act regardless?? If it does go by my previous employer.. What am I supposed to do to resolve this potential problem?

I've been denied UI. Letter in the mail said I have insufficient base period wages. I gave them everything they asked for and they said my base period wages are $0. I was furloughed from a fulltime job I had for years. I've been calling the number on my denial letter to file for reconsideration but it's never answered and they never call back. What now?

I’m in California got laid off on 4/8 applied for unemployment benefits online 4/9 certified for benefits and got paid on 4/23 got my debit card today 5/2 loaded with $2,100. Process was pretty smooth and easy. Waiting for the debit card was the only hassle for me but I finally got it.
