How to quickly make a Slideshow video on iPhone (No 3rd party Apps required)

STEP 1. iPhone Slideshow in Apple Photos App
First you will need to get some images on your phone that you want to make into a short video.
There is a super easy way to view your photos as a slideshow with music on an iPhone just using the photos app.
Simply open your photos app. Select all the images you want to include in your slideshow. Tap at the bottom left to see the menu and scroll down to the slideshow option.
VIDEO 1
Automatically your iphone will create a slideshow with music. You can see multiple images randomly grouped together, with unique transitions between the slides.
Under options you can change the theme, the music, whether it should repeat and the overall speed.
This is a really fast way to create a cool slideshow.
You can airplay this to your TV and show friends if you want, but that is sadly where it ends. This slideshow function does not allow you to export this as a video (save it), so that you can share it with friends and family..
Don't worry, there is an easy workaround. All you need to do is a screen recording.
STEP 2. Save your slideshow video without an additional app
When you slide up on your screen it opens your control centre. Here you should have a record screen button that looks like this. If you do not see it, then you need to customise your control centre.

Go to iPhone settings.
Search for a Control Centre.
Select customise controls
Look for the screen recording option.
You need to tap the little green plus button to add it.
Now when you slide to open your control centre you will see the button.When you tap on this have 3 seconds to set up your screen and record your slideshow.
This will automatically save to your recent folder in the photos app.

I have been running a small animal sanctuary for the past three years supported by myself. I was contacted by a couple of people telling me that the only way people can manage to have sanctuaries and rescue centres is to rely entirely on donations. I had absolutely no idea, so I’m in the process of setting up a new sanctuary Facebook page and have spent literally hours and hours trying to do a slideshow on my iPhone from my photo library. As you know you can’t save anything on there and it was a disaster and I was becoming very despondent until I found you. It was a lightbulb moment! Your brilliant video and excellent explanatory skills have been a lifesaver. Hopefully today I’ll set my new page up with slideshow.. So many many thanks, and keep doing what you are so very good at!

@@Travelvids , hi can you help me, I made a video… a bit long with all the photos for family overseas (it’s for my Dad's viewing) I had to put 3 different songs, which I was happy I could achieve. Now it’s saying file too big I cannot send by messenger. How do I go about this please? Also if I need to split the video into 3 how do I do that? I have never commented on KZfaq before. I have basic knowledge of technology. You have explained really well. I would have regretted if I have used any professional editor or 3rd party app after paying hefty $$ for iPhone 11. Your video has saved me $$$ & I work like pro now on basic level! Hello I always wanted to save a slideshow. This is excellent. I very rarely use iMovie as I get frustrated as the music is always longer than the clips . This will help me . Your instructions are precise , clear and the video was not too fast . A lot of people do videos and too fast so you have to stop and pause . Thanks

Hi Jay, I actually just had to add this as a module to our course. But to give you the short overview: You need to download music from youtube using a converter website, then transfer the track to your phone. Unfortunately this is the only way to get around the costs of music libraries that connect directly to the phone.

This was very understandable. Grandchildren were proud of me as we watched a summer family iMovie I created. QUESTION #1: how can I switch music to a different song midway or can I? QUESTION #2: I put in sound effects but the sound effects played over top the music. The sound effects not as effective then. Can I stop song when I want sound effects. QUESTION #3: a grandma question … how short does Imovie have to be to send. Mine was too big to share. Thank u.

This is very helpful! I just used iPhone slideshow and screen recording tool to create a video for me and my bf's 4th anniversary! Less than 5 minutes, the video was done!! Tried Tiktok, spending whole two hours there, it did not turn out good, and I don't like they stamp their logo on the video. ❤🎉

Hi Thanks for the video. I made one video for around a duration of 10 minutes including small videos and photos. However when I sharing through WhatsApp with my friends partially video shared and its duration 2-3 minutes only. Unable to send the full video which I create through iMovie.
