How refreshing to see someone quoting sensible and fair prices. Some on here would be charging £200 plus for that, a job that really can be finished including the vac cleanup in around an hr and a half. Im certain that your customers appreciate you and your service, and regular work is what we want.

Nice to see someone who quotes similar to me. Some people would charge hundreds of pounds for that. I see it as you earn more money through being fair and getting recommendations and then them deciding to have you clean their windows regularly etc than you ever would just charging extortionate prices for a job. Especially if you're using hand tools to clean it out. A bit of diesel and an hour's work. It's all profit pretty much

Hi I don't mean to criticise but when I quote just for gutters, if not there already doing windows I have to take in consideration of time going there checking with camera, then having a chat and showing pictures or video, then booking in a time that works for all and then actually doing the job , this all takes up my time which we all know that means money. Just think that's a bit cheap. But it does depend on what part of the country you work in. All the best and have good Christmas 🎄

rizla 0 I live in a cheap area of the country and these gutters were not bad at all. @@fingersmcgee2762 while I agree to an extent, this guy is using very a expensive gutter vac which does a good job quickly and neatly. That’s worth a premium. I live in Sydney so may be very different but if I had the same gear I would be be implementing an absolute minimum charge of $180 (£96). With price of the gear plus vehicle costs and fuel for vehicle and generator plus time spent and insurance it’s just not worth it for any less than that. If you’re already there for something else (which it looks like he is) then his pricing seems fair and reasonable.

Greetings Each. Nice video and fair consideration . We are all individuals and will charge what we think is fair. I took up High Level cleaning internal and external via SGI as an added service to my existing customers and any new ones I might pick up. I generally quote on Difficulty and access . I generally quote £50-£100 for a domestic property depending on size. However if it turns out to be very easy. I offer a discount. I will remove debris FOC (Ihave people I know that have allotments ). Commercial property is different some can take two days and are charged accordingly.
@swirljet4245

This is the method i adopted about 9 years ago. As you highlighted in the clip it is best to have a minimum charge which i tell customers before i start the survey. In a few instances i have completed the survey and discovered that there was no detritus in the customers gutters and have sent them photographs to highlight this. Not even a thank-you. The cameras are okay but useless if the sun is shining too brightly. Allocating time to do the survey and say a couple of hours to clean the gutters for £60 seems okay and it's the avenue i go down as a rule. Then you realise you have to deduct 20% tax and £60 becomes £48 then petrol and other business running costs. These comments are not aimed at the very excellent instructional videos of the maker which i enjoy very much - it's just the musings of a professional cleaner trying to survive in an overcrowded marketplace.

Struggling to see how to make good money doing exterior cleaning. After you deduct running costs and corporation / income tax… the work is undervalued considering the value and benefit to the property owners who pay lots of cash for stupid stuff. I earn £500 +. / day working in a stupid, contract IT job. Sitting at a desk in my home. No travel. Almost zero expenses. It’s soul crushing at times and would love a change… but this business doesn’t look feasible unless scaled up or massive price hike. Am I missing something?

Prices I’ve quoted in my videos are a few years old now. Having a professional approach can also justify higher prices. But people also do it for the flexibility of being their own boss, being out in the fresh air, a lifestyle change. I started an online training course to help people to get the most out of their business, but yeah, it’s easily possible to average around £500 a day if you go about it the right way.👍🏼 www.aemackintosh-onlinetraining.com

I normally charge £30 for an assessment. To cover the cost off a trip and ladder/camera set up. (Haven’t got time for time wasters). But it does look very professional to the customer to camera inspect

Glide Cleaning Limited That’s a good idea, especially in country areas where distance can be an issue. You could always offer to take the inspection cost off the price of the clearance job if they decide to go ahead.🍂😃👍🏼

A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services thanks mate, I’ll let you know how I get on..... I’m thinking building up a business to average 2 to 3 clients per day, at an average price of £100 per house. I would love £1,000 per week, I know window cleaners / gutter cleaners who take double this, but I want weekends off, I’ve practically worked 7 day weeks for 12 years and just want to relax a little for a while
