Pretty keen to see a video of what to do once you flip your thundercat. Flipped one a few years ago and got it sorted with a lot of googling. Keen to see what you would do. Cheers!

OXS Enterprises sweet! Live action at the beach would be good as you won’t have your full garage of tools. Keen to see what bear essentials I need to carry in the way of tools as well to get the job done. Then obviously there would be more to do once you got the boat home?

What do you think about the Caesar Surfcat or the Gemini GRX? Seems pretty awesome to me for recreational use!

For recreational use any of them are fine. Should be able to find some secondhand ones for a good price. Get a good prop or two.

OXS Enterprises Hi, thank you for your reply! Could you give me a idea of the performance difference between a Thundercat and a Surfcat? I would guess that the handling is pretty much the same and that only the maximum speed differs.

Hey, short question concerning the hulls. How can I design them for example just like „We Raise“. Its not a sticker isnt it? Greetings from Germany✌🏻

No it needs to be painted on. If it's a sticker the hull just moves and the sticker will come off.

Just a curius question from a guy who know nothing about boating here: I can understand the holes in the rear (transom?) when racing as it drains the boat, but when you say the boat is great for diving and other stuff, wouldn't a closed rear be more beneficial to keep things dry?

Water doesn't come in the back unless you're reversing. Like most small boats they aren't super dry but I use one for spearfishing and it's excellent.

When you are driving there is not water coming in. When you are stationary/stopped that last 10 cm of "deck" before the transom will be under water - no issue what so ever. If you go of the gas and do not turn away from your bow wave, well, your codriver/passenger will have the pleasure of getting a wet bum.Just keep you stuff in a bag that sheds the water.

Can the transom support larger engines like a 70 or 90 HP 3 cylinder?

Yeap. There's a few floating around with 70's on them. 90 would be mad.

Few in Australia with 70s and a 90yamaha, biggest problem you will find is these boats need a 15” mid section so finding a 70/90 in a 15” mid is very rare. And most transoms are only rated to 50hp

I don't. Get the valve fitting and a low pressure gauge and join em.

Can the driver sit on the left and drive right handed and the crewman sit on the right?

There is no rule against it, however it is strongly discouraged in NZ unless there is a very good reason for it like you are missing you left arm. Reason is our course and starts are designed for the driver on right and coey on left. Swapping this will increase the odds of rollover and of collision with our teams on the starts... That's the official response.
