Really well-made video, funny and educational. I've been making music for 8 but I feel like a total beginner when it comes to the world of analog hardware, so I'm grateful there's a good video explaining these simple things. I'm still amazed and terrified that there's only the four screws at the front holding all that weight up!

Never realized my drill had an adjustable setting for the clutch. I know that's so simple but you got a like out of me for teaching me something I never knew I needed to know!

Thank You, that was very valuable information. I just ordered a 10U rack for my new RME & Warm Audio Gear. So after watching this video I can now intall it all by myself.

A nice hands-on presentation! Thank you 👏 I'm always wondering if there should be something to hold the unit on the back side as well, especially when a heavy-duty unit is involved. 🤔 - Eero

They also make screws with bevels, that fit into beveled metal washers that have nylon washers behind them

I'm about to do something like this for more eurorack space. It's stupid how much they charge for those cases... a 65usd power supply module will power two rows of average power requirements. And the thing itself is so cheap to build. It would be like 1200 to buy but also typically with really expensive internal linear psu etc. But that has never seemed necessary to me. Haha at the end there- man I see used gear looks so eaten up by bare bolts I'm like wtf? People don't use the plastic? On my eurorack modules I use straight nylon screws. Dirt cheap they work great, don't corrode or rust or get stuck and if they do you can easily get it out- they don't damage anything ever. Love em.

Is it also possible to simply lay the rack down on the flor?😅 (if the back side is straight)

Eh, is it also not recommendable to mount two devices directly on top of each other cause of heat issues?Regards

"The first thing you need to know about a rack" There's a joke in there somewhere. Something about WMD's.
