Wow, I cant wait to see if my cabinets are just attached using a few screws. Cabinets that reach the ceiling is the way to go.

I want to do this. I scoured the Internet to see if anyone had also raised their short uppers to the ceiling and placed open shelving below. I wanted to see what it looked like and see if the owners were happy with it. Thank you for posting this video. Now I have more confidence to proceed. 🙂

Really want to do this in my kitchen since there isn’t enough clearance between the countertop and cabinets to even put my knife block or coffee maker. When you raised the cabinets, did you have to re paint the wall or add anything else to where they were before?

Why would you do that? The house I bought has the cabinets about 22" off the counter and we hate it. I'm planning on lowering them to about 18".
