Pat, I have a commercial roofing company that operates in a tristate area (MD, PA, NJ). So we don't focus on one city. What do you do in place of for example "Roofing Houston" to rank in the region that we service? My initial guess would be create separate "home pages" for each major city in the regional area ?? Hey Pat, have you ever experienced an indexing issue with your clients website? I am working on my own website for junk removal in my area and 2 out of the 7 "junk removal in city name" pages are not ranking. No matter what I do, whether its the VIDEO Site map Indexing trick or Request Crawl in Search Console, my new pages, including even a recent information post. Not getting indexed. After weeks of being posted. Any idea? Would be much appreciated!

When you say make an individual page for a long tail keyword, can that page be a blog post page or would you make just a general page for example 'bronze metal roof panels" ? And if you just made a general page regarding the keyword would you have to silo it into your header menu? I could see the menu siloing get out of control after a while form all of the keywords pages you build from researching SEM rush

For that keyword example it looks like it would be a good silo page for Metal Roofing top level power page. Generally you will allready have in mind or through competitors research which pages will be your top level or top category pages as for example in roofing they would be...residential roofing, commercial roofing, roof repair, and metal roofing could all be to level power pages and then you would silo any additional pages as child pages of those. So yes & yes, if it makes sense to add as a service page and have it in your header than definitely go for it, but if the long tail keyword is more of an information type of query then definitely blog post.

The concepts are the same across any local business. It all comes down to competitor & keyword research -> website structure -> service pages -> blog post -> backlinks & repeat

@@DisenosWebAgency ubersuggest I believe is more affordable but not as accurate. Google keyword planner is free but slightly harder to operate.
