I think the biggest tip for the lower tier players is to remember the 60/40 rule for abusing cover. Always ALWAYS have 40% of your screen in cover, you can 60% peek but you should ALWAYS have/be in cover/quickly retreat to. You can have subpar gun skill and still win fights because of superior positioning. Free shots when they cross the open.

Talking and actually trying to communicate with the randoms really is the best way to make friends and climb. There are many other solo queue players who would love to join a group, but are too shy to ask. Any game with a friendly guy who seemed decent I'd just invite them to the next game and just play with them until they got off.

A tip for everyone stuck in Gold: YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO FIGHT IN GOLD! That's what Gold is all about. You HAVE to fight if you want to get out of Gold these days, and so you have to learn how to do it, by doing it and learning from what you can do better when you lose the fights and selecting what fights to take and make sure you have your back cleared to opt out of fights where you are at a disadvantage. But you HAVE to fight if you want out of Gold, so you may as well try and learn when you're there.

As a multy master and pred I think that one of imporant things is to find people with similar game sense. There is also a lot of stuff that u didnt mention but I think that this is just a whole new vid about how to not lose fights, etc... Nice vid btw

For beginners. Following Legends are the best to play in the game. 1. Bangalore: She has an easy to understand kit. Her smoke can be used in different ways. Getting visual cover, reviving, disrupting enemies and so on... 2. Loba: Imo the Legend with the highest survivability rn. If you're good, a Loba can turn a game, even if your mates are dead, because u can respawn them even after thir banners expired. 3. Valkyrie. She has the best rotation ult of all legends, including a very good scan. All other Skirmisher Legends are a lot harder to learn, while Valk has an easy to understand kit and a great passive that can even be used to separate enemies, because other movement Legends have all cool downs for their movement, while Valk doesn't. Just keep the fuel in mind.

I wanna go for Diamond, but I've only barely hit plat once. I only have one friend to play with who's heart isn't really in it, we just play to play together. It's getting frustrating though because I actually find myself playing better without him running 150 meters ahead and getting knocked or getting impatient and giving up positioning to push a full squad for no reason.

I remember someone made this perfect list of the rank order of Priorities when playing Apex ranked or Pubs: 1. Play your life first 2. play DAMAGE not kills, just do damage and stay alive and the kills WILL come. 3. Kills, finally. If you're alive for longer and do enough damage, the kills WILL come for free. Most players I feel like make the mistake of ONLY playing their life or ONLY playing for kills in early rank. They miss their shots, don't do damage, yet JUMP into a fight HOPING for a kill yet perform badly. That's why you focus on staying ALIVE first, and doing DAMAGE second. If you're not alive for long and you don't do damage then you WON'T be getting kills either 😂 It's that simple. Somehow people struggle with that.

“Just be a good teammate “ Plat 4 is the WORST. Kids who have never climbed into diamond get big egos when they hit Plat, that or they know they can’t rank up. They just start treating the matches like pubs. LITERALLY 90% of my solo ques are lifeline/revenant/ or mirages that actively ignore me. I’ll leave my mic on and explain why i think we should rotate a specific way, back out of a certain fight, or loot a general direction. I’ll ping everything with the directional wheel that I want to do too. Doesn’t matter. They’re usually halfway to fragment ignoring me. Best believe the fucking SECOND THEY DIE..they suddenly start pinging like a mad man….and talking on their mics saying I’m trash for not blindly following them to death…..after 10 mins of ignoring every suggestion I bounce off of them. I’ll literally be on the mic as we load in saying “ guys don’t land too hot, let’s land on one maybe two teams, or right next door and third party “ and they’ll drop terraformer with half of the lobby. Finally downloaded discord today, random queing every now and then might be fine, but unless you’re gonna drop 10 kills a game and carry bots every game you’ll eventually need a team to consistently climb. My KD is 1.5 this season…. I hit diamond twice before, and solo qued to diamond in arenas….I win my 1s….so I know I’m good enough to do my part and get 5-7 kills with teamwork…but watching teammates push out of position just to get INSTA melted as they actively ignore my coms, just to call ME trash cus I’m not trying to 3v1 a team with 18 squads left..it’s starting to piss me off.

How to Rank up. Play Loba and port out of a fight that's definitely lost

As of today am just out of plat 1 and have been so que about 80% of the time, With 4 days left im confident in hitting diamond

currently stuck in D2. It is horrendously hard compared to plat. Fucking pred, smurfs, sometimes cheaters...My teammates goes down first in 80% of matches and i need to learn to 1v2 or 1v3, but it is impossible to even 1v2, because 1v1 you loose some shield or hp then 2nd FULL HP guy just pushes you and you're dead. And this is scenario when you already knocked one. All i wanted to say, is there is no way to get better, masters and pred have good reflexes naturally, you can't go against your nature, so please don't spend thousands of hours, go work or study. The fact that for example i climb diamond2 says nothing because it's pure luck. Imma go kill myself soon because gaming is ALL i did in my life and i thought i was pretty good till i launched apex. This game have shown me my own place, trashcan, i end up being just a point in someone's statistics in diamond 2. I wish i choose highschool

BIGGEST TIP, get a squad already comprised of preds. Easy… only thing is preds only play with preds cheater or not. Despite what any recruitment discords you join. No pred will even join a multi master player (speaking from experience)
