It's pretty unbelievable that this is the only help we get for this piece of crap. Turning mine off for 5 seconds does nothing, just a solid red light and no green light at all. It will not go into pairing mode and ive been looking for help for hours. Either sell things that actually work, give us the correct instructions for the unit. I shouldn't have to spend this much time trying to fix it. I will be replacing with another brand and will not be reccomending salus to anyone if i can't fix it in the next half hour

This video is missing an important bit of info which the lovely man at their technical support told me. You need to switch the receiver off for 5 seconds first and then follow the instructions on the video.

If the receiver unit doesn't enter pairing mode, switch off & on twice quickly. You may have to switch off at mains for 5 secs or so. This info would have saved me a lot of trouble. Nowhere does it say twice! 🧐👍

I have a RT310i and it does not pair up. The green auto light won’t come on

I have paired one of these for my nephew, the instructions are terrible, I have written my own for him, this may help others. To pair 310RF to the RXRT510 receiver. Receiver: Switch mains supply off for a few seconds to reset it, leave the two switches to ‘ON’ and ‘AUTO’ Switch mains on and wait a few seconds to stabilise, switch the ‘POWER’ slide switch to off then on quickly so the red light starts blinking. (You may have to do this a couple of times) This puts it into the LEARN mode and will overwrite an existing stored code. Transmitter: The transmitter appears to have either a set number of codes or a rolling code system. If the batteries are removed or flat for any length of time, the code resets to a default. Press the PAIR button under the battery flap for 3 seconds until ‘SYg’ is displayed, wait until the red light on the receiver stops flashing, press the pair button again for 3 seconds until the temperature is displayed again Should now function normally.

If you find that the devices are not paired, yet the red light stays on, switch the receiver off and then on very fast (you should do the switch in less than a second). This should cause the receiver to go sync mode

I have a 310.. it worked until last night... the temp on the app showed 21 but the room was 14... If I set the app say at 30.. the room stat shows temp it is and if I push up arrow it shows what app is set to 30.. so it seems that bit works Red light is solid.. but what ever I set app to does not turn boiler on no green light. switch to manual boiler works and get warm... Tried all the crap instructions... the red light is on so it way be paired... help

Is the green light supposed to stay on after successful pairing? It is not clear in the video. I have been through this process and the red light stays solid but with the lower switch on auto there is no green light and no sign that the units are paired though the test button says they are. But it wont call for heat so I have to go back to manual (or freeze)

Try using it in Manual. It seems to work a lot better. I’m assuming it just uses the temperature you set on the display and the thermostat to regulate 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've got the same situation: after 2 weeks of normal work the receiver lost connection to the thermostat. I managed to put it into pairing mode according to the manual and exactly like it is shown in this video but the red light is flashing during 9 minutes, lcd antenna sign is also flashing. I tried to turn off the receiver before such operation but the result is the same. Please help me to pair it back again.

I must have done this simple procedure a dozen times. It still does not stay paired. It’s not being able to see that Normal mode and how it looks on the screen at the end that doesn’t help.

How do I repair a Salus thermostat which does not have the LCD screen on it?!?

If you're checking this to see whether you wish to purchase this I'd strongly recommend you don't. My system failed after less than 3 years. Spent 6 weeks trying to get help from their customer services. Sick of being ignored so replaced it with another brand. Poor product, dreadful service. I believe a firmware update bricked it. Their FB page has other users trying to contact them over similar issues and complaining about being ignored by their tech support. Just avoid at all costs.

Rt310i worked after completely unplugged the heater (5seconds or so) and then plug it in and see that the receiver is either on solid red or intermittent red. If intermittent follow the steps in the video - if it is solid just quickly switch on and of for a few times (10 times worked for me because it was driving me insane) and then followed the steps in the video. A quality piece of junk!

Doesn’t work ... you may need to turn receiver off then on again first. Can do by switching off power with our set up.

From my experience I find that Salus thermostats are the most unreliable, they never work as they should.

I have an old thermostat what was only connected to the boiler through 2 wires, that's it. Now I got this shit Salus RT520RF that require those 2 wires plus another 2 and a 220 socket to plug it in. That should be on the package, on the site, on the product description, before people purchase this. I don't have an extra socket to plug this in, as my old wireless one worked wired to the boiler
