Do you still need over an hour to completely relax? Try the method I use... I lie still and inhale slow, not deep, and then exhale slightly quicker than in breath. Focusing on my heart beat in my chest until I can control the intensity. Once I can make it feel stronger or more faint, i focus on my feet and try to feel my heart beat there. Once I can feel or hold that sensation for 20-30 seconds, I move to my calves, then knees, thighs, stomach, hands, arms, neck, head, each for half a minute. This works because you must relax to feel your heart beat in each area.

I have it down to 15 to 30 minutes using what I call microsleep. I will definitely give your method a try though. Anything to speed up the process is a good thing.

When you reach the vibrational state, you will/may think you're dying. It's literally like sticking your finger (well, entire body in this case) into an electrical outlet.

For years I had it and then one night in my thirties I relaxed, I heard like a buzzing in my head and it seemed like something was putting pressure on both sides of my head, the buzzing and the pressure got louder and stronger, it never hurt, i never felt any pain, but just when i thought it couldn't keep going my soul left my body going backwards like a hundred miles an hour, it was fantastic, but its been over 30 years since then and I have never had another episode of paralysis or out of body, though I've tried repeatedly on and off for years...One thing i will mention is that when i came back the hair all over my body was sticking straight out and I was full of energy...I could not sleep for the next 24 hours...truly amazing...I'm still trying

Love how you point out the nuisance of each technique and renewed my interest to trying again. I've experienced the vibration state once and it mellowed out to an OM sound (similar to an OM chant by Buddhist monks). I didn't project bc I was too focused on my the body sensations and learned from your videos that I need to keep it in the peripheral. Keep up the great work!

Can't thank you enough for the clear and concise, really succinct descriptions you've taken the time - van or no van - in fact, I wouldn't have cared if you'd been on top of a mountain - to explain, here. I've been ravenous about these different methods, but in consuming all the info I have, I haven't yet come upon an explanation as clear as yours. Specifically for the vibrational stage, and whether or not *everyone* goes through it. Really just had to get in here to thank you; you're an excellent 'teacher'; you know how to explain things in manners easy to understand, I'm sure, by the masses. We're lucky to have you. ;)

As usual you hit on many points, Mike... Nice that you mentioned increasing the vibration frequency before projection, and how it makes it smoother.. as opposed to the " drunk-like" low frequency vibrational attempts... It's overlooked so often, but this increase in frequency is key to a more controlled experience. It's this higher frequency that makes the OBE almost seem effortless...

Hey, finally reached the vibrational state after about a year of trying. I have been regularly meditating for years, however the past year decided to consciously attempt an OBE. I had spontaneously had OBE's when I was younger but didn't understand them at the time and they eventually went away. When younger, I never had the vibrations, I always dreamed I was flying and thats how I believe I exited. Two nights ago I was laying in bed with my 8 year old son in between my wife and I. Not even trying, I began to dose off, in and out then gradually felt the vibrations building stronger. They seemed very strong in the base of my head and back. They eventually went away when I felt my wife and son moving. Thought it was very cool and wanted to share. Next step is actually getting out. Very excited about the vibrations though. Not scary at all, I was actually thrilled when I felt them. Thanks for your videos. Very fun and love watching.

The method for reaching AP without vibrations is visualization. There are hundreds if not thousands of videos on KZfaq explaining it. But basically you relax, imagine the room you are laying down in in great detail. Then use the rope or ladder method. Instead of feeling vibrations, there is usually a kind of popping sensation and noise that is very brief when you separate. Search for AP or out of body visualization technique and you will find several, but will realize they are basically the same method.

Hi Mike, A couple of years ago I was trying to achieve OBE, and reached vibration but it led into a lucid dream not OBE (at least I don't think it was, but the dream involved meeting some people who were looking at me and I seemed to be in control of flying across a lawn toward them). I've never been able to OBE properly and gave up, but lately I'm trying again and discovering your videos has been incredibly helpful, more so than an expensive self-teach AP course I purchased a few years ago! Anyway a few things I notice about my recent attempts are:- When I begin my laying down relaxation, I get faster results if I go through a process of stretching top-to-toe ALL my limbs and tightening/stretching and releasing all my muscle groups. I mean really pulling my muscles quite hard and holding that for 10-30 seconds before releasing, almost to the point of cramp. Deep breathing while I'm doing this. It's like an in-bed workout. Arching my back so I lift my body off the bed, stretch out my legs/calf muscles, feet forwards then back, toes outstretched. Neck/head rolling, shoulders, arms,hands, fingers, whatever feels really good to RELEASE ALL TENSION and warm up my body. After 5 minutes or so of this exercise, I then start to relax everything, and do a lot of wriggling and fidgeting to make the bed covers smooth and comfortable against me, the object being to minimise the feel of them pressing against me. Then concentrating on every part of my body individually from toes up to head to check that everything is relaxed, and making little adjustments here and there for total comfort, especially neck/head comfort, angle, etc. I might spend 5-10 mins on this body process getting everything as comfortable as I can before doing anything about my internal head space. Something I notice on the way to total relaxation and moving to the void-state you mention is that I start hearing occasional noises, like loud pops or cracks in my head (it sounds like a real sound, like a dry stick being cracked, not just body noises). On the couple of occasions I reached vibration, it shocked me how physical it felt at first, building to a crescendo as if I was being forcibly shaken/wobbled back and fore by several inches at a rate of 5Hz and getting faster until it felt like a buzzing sound which then slowly diminishes again, but I wasn't sure how to proceed from there. I'll be trying out some of the things you suggest. Thanks, Jim

I achieve vibrational state a few times, and I found it very pleasant. It was vibrations about 4 or 5 cycles per second, really like an electrical shock, but WITHOUT the pain. Au contraire, it was very enjoyable. But I couldn't keep it. The vibrations got softer and softer while I mentalized: "stay, stay, don't go away".

rlocatellidigital Just to be clear... i still have not acheived astral projection yet but i have tried every night for a week but i do think i can help you keep this vibrational state. Instead of telling it to stay and coming from a place of lack... try coming from a place of abbundance by focusing on how strong the vibrations are, for example .. try and mentalize “wow these vibrations are so strong i think they will last forever”. Just a simple psychological switch 👍🏻 hope this helps. Good luck

Man I can’t believe it after about two months of trying last night after waking up about 4 am I caught myself at the moment I became aware and started focusing on my hart and remained calm, I stopped myself from thinking too much as this normally brings my mind back to a fully aware state. After about 3 mins I suddenly started hearing a vibrating humm in my ears and in my body, as you say this was a very unusual experience that I have never felt before. I allowed it to build and tried to roll out but it didn’t work, I think I should have allowed the vibrations to build up more before trying but couldn’t help myself being impatient lol. Anyway after that I got too excited and they stopped. I’m still very happy though cause it means I’m on the right track and one step closer to an OBE.

Thanks for the food video. I appreciate your work. Concerning the relationship between the vibrational state and meditation, I can tell from my own year-long experience of meditation (Theravada buddhist tradition) and also from exeriencing OBEs and the vibrational state at night by myself that there seems to be a relationship: there are altered states of consciousness which are produced from periods of strong concentration - called jhanas (and there are 8 of them) - and the first jhanas is associated with a body sensation of tingling which is, in my view and experience, more or less the same as the vibrational state. It's an Electrical-like sensations which start at the back, reaches the sholders and the arms and finally the head. The strongest electrical-vibrational feeling I experienced so far was before an OBE. It was extremly strong and I thought I was getting an electrical shock for several seconds, but in parallel it was a pleasant feeling and had also a "warm" additional quality. I knew this feeling from reaching and experiencing the 1. jhana during meditation, but then the feeling it only 20-50% of the intensity compared to the vibrational state during an OBE. Due to the year-long meditation practice and my experiences of the 1. Jhana multiple times, I somehow developed the ability to initiate the body feeling and the vibrational state voluntarily. I can do it during my daily routine and I need approx. 1-2 seconds to do so. However, this kind of vibrational state has only 10-20 % of the intensity compared to the vibrational state experienced during an OBE and it can stop quite fast (after a few seconds). I am triggering the sensation of the vibrational by deeply breathing in and expiring very slowly, in paralle I am "switching" of the feeling - but I cannot tell exactly how I am doing this. I am using this ability also when trying to initiate an OBE during night. So far, I was sucessful with this approach once. In addition, I knew this body feeling of the vibrational state also from practising taiji, qigong and yoga. Also there specific body positions or movements are triggering this feeling in me. I will intensify and refine meditation practise and will also experiment more with initiating an OBE at night. I think combining these two types of pracise is a very frutiful approach for transpersonal development.

I'm an insomniac, so once I hit morning and get exhausted, it's SO easy to just paralyze! Sometimes it comes on TOO fast and I have to shame violently out of it because it scares me at that fast rate. But yea, if nothing else works, try staying up to the point of exhaustion. It's easy for me to continuously fight the sleep because I basically do that all night. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'd say I guess I'm lucky...but OH MAN would it be SO nice to just knock out as easily as every other normal human being 😔

If a person needs to ask "am i in the vibrational state" then you arent because you absolutely know when you do. You painlessly have a deep inner vibration within your mind and your perception of everything "shifts" and changes. DANG IT! I just got to the part in the video where you yourself stated this. When you have vibrations you suddenly see thru your eyelids yet its difficult to ascertain that you are ie you believe you are truly seeing with your real eyes. I had my first vibrations in 1978 and have had hundreds thru the years with many obes yet i just now discovered that i can consciously control the experience myself which i look forward to doing when my next vibrations occur. Personally, i can usually tell when im going to have vibrations before or while i first lay down to sleep. Ive recently had serious hynogogia, the state im in before the real vibes begin, BUT my girlfriend kicks me and awakens me from my altered states. She did that seven times a few nights ago and it was so frustrating. She has myoclonic jerks ALL friggen night long which is so very frustrating because what can i do? Im in the process of a possible enlightening experience and before i actually go under she kicks and shakes the bed which awakens me. My only consideration is a king size bed. You have no idea how frustrating this is because i know she cant help herself yet that doesnt soothe the idea that her movement pulls me out of my possible obe. When these vibrations first happened they were terrifging because of the sounds, voices, presences, and intensity of vibration. I used to actually need to get out of bed to splash cold water on my face to make the vibrations state go away. Now i dont fear them and WANT them to occur and i look forward to exploring the consciousness exploration that these vibes permit. Im just venting so thanks for reading.

The second indirect method you mentioned is almost exactly what i do and nearly always it allows me to project. Except instead of shifting the point of awareness, I use visualization of moving with a lot of sensory details. I don’t feel like I wait very long for sleep paralysis to kick in, possibly because I’m in the most comfortable and familiar position that my body just automatically begins to fall asleep. It normally takes about 25-30 minutes to get there but it’s the fastest one I have found.
@PhaseEvolution
@PhaseEvolution 4 жыл бұрын
25 to 30 minutes is great! It sounds like you have a lot of experience. Do you ever use microsleep to speed up the shut down process? Just curious, because it is almost always a mandatory part of my practice if I want to get there in 20 to 30 minutes. Otherwise, it could take me an hour or more on occasions just to reach the needed level of sleep paralysis and bodily disassociation

Hi Mike, I know you’re no longer active on your channel, nevertheless I wanted to leave a message anyway, in case anybody wishes to start up a conversation with me who has maybe been having similar experiences. That said, it would be nice to hear from you. I was one of your 1st 500 subscribers I think all those years ago. I’ve recently been reviewing a few of your videos, because of what has started to happen to me in the last 3 - 4 months!! I’ve started experiencing what I believe to be the beginning of Astral Projection. Only ever at the beginning of my sleep cycle, I’ve suddenly felt like I’ve become conscious, but there is definitely motion whether it be a feeling of floating upwards (I don’t see anything) or quite often away from my body. Other sensations are noises in my ears, whooshing sounds. Not so long ago, I suddenly became conscious because I felt a powerful blanket of ‘tingles’ suddenly wash over my whole body and persist for quite some time, until awoke. Note, I do not believe these were the intense vibrations you talk about. Quite often these ‘experiences’ end up almost turning into a dream, so when I do awake, I always grab my phone and speak them into the voice memos App so I don’t forget what’s happened as they always appear to fade. They are so different to anything that’s ever happened to me during sleep. So over the last few months I’ve been experimenting when I go to bed, and without even realising it, after watching this video I now know I’ve been micro sleeping (direct method). I am however interested in trying the indirect method you talk about. I am so excited to try and get to the vibrational state (and hopefully project) and this video has help me tremendously with some good ideas. Mike, I’m very excited to start reviewing your videos once again, I’m going to start from the very beginning and learn as much as possible. It would be absolutely phenomenal if you decided to post the odd video once again, even it was just to document any recent Astral Projection experiences. Sending best wishes - Neil (UK).

Hey, thank you for your personable and inspiring video. I've been experiencing OBE's for about 9 years. Even with me, the effectiveness of the techniques always wears off after a while. What happened to me spontaneously twice was that I concentrated on the black behind my eyelids and watched the swirling structures and points. I think it was in the transition to the hypnagogic phase, when the golden dots formed a circle and I intuitively thought "through", then I stood next to my bed on the astral plane. Another time, I paid attention to where the vibrations begin. For me it is an area on the back wall of the heart. Interestingly, there is also the electrical clock for the heart action, the sinus node. When I listen in the deep relaxation phase in the area between the breaths, especially after exhaling, I feel these very delicate vibrations there. These can get stronger if I focus on them, but not always. I also noticed that I felt vibrations less and less over the years, but woke up at night and felt that my consciousness had shifted to the astral plane lying in bed and in my physical body, and I rolled out. By the way, you can also switch to the astral plane during a lucid dream. I find it easier because consciousness is already shifted in this phase to the physical level. There I make a kind of sign with myself. This can be a red door or snapping your fingers. It seemed good for me to drop back onto the floor with the clear intention of getting along on the astral plane next to my body. I am still looking for a safe method and the reason why it works differently for everyone. I've tried a lot but haven't found the master key yet. P.s .: I also think it is important for every practitioner to know for yourself that we are not our body but that our multidimensional consciousness is on several levels in universe at the same time. And like the focus of a camera lens, it is only used to focus on the physical level. In our dreams these fixed ideas dissolve and it is easier to change. I find it amazing and wonderful how many people are now considering this option. Warm greetings from Germany ❤️

Thanks for the comment! You are correct that projection from a LD is one of the easiest methods. For me I prefer other methods simply because actually having LDs still requires a bit of luck and other methods are more predictable and reliable, but when I am in a LD, it is definitely seamless and easy.

This has been extremely helpful! Thank you! You described everything I've been experiencing attempting to astral project with the first method. It's becoming very frustrating because I just don't have the patience and I only practice in the middle of the day because I'm afraid of the dark for some reason. I've had some successful experiences but only when I'm slipping in and out of sleep so I always miss the vibrations. I'll feel light as air and hear a gentle roar in my head (nothing obvious) then I'll will myself to float up and out. It happens almost effortlessly on these occasions. I really want to feel the vibrations though, and learn how to astral project from a fully conscious state rather than when I'm half asleep. I'm looking for better quality astral projections where I'm in control of my 5 senses. When I'm half asleep while out of body, I'm often blind or confused and very often slip into a dream like state where I don't remember the full experience when I come back. I know I'm capable of having fully conscious out of body experiences because they used to happen spontaneously when I was younger. Do you have any advice for keeping the mind awake and alert while out of body? Thanks for everything, I'll be binge watching your videos!

Make sure you are practicing after 4 to 6 hours of sleep so you are less tired, but still capable of deep relaxation. Aside from that, if you get out and things are dark and groggy, start engaging your senses as intensely and quickly as possible to pull awareness from your physical body into your non-physical body. Even an experience that starts off as dark and lethargic can become crystal clear.

I want to add to this thread with my experience. The odd thing about it was I was not aware of what was happening...honestly. This subject was a foreign concept. I recall that the first few instances occurred just before I was drifting towards sleep and it was slightly annoying. In fact, I suspected it might potentially be the ceiling fan motor of the apartment below mine (I discovered later there is no fan). I only 'awoke' to considering what was occurring when one evening I was suddenly awakened by the feeling that my legs were grabbed. It was jarring. I couldn't add this up and began to research. Couple of months later I have read multiple authors (everyone you most certainly know) recounting similar experiences. I am now meditating and have accepted the idea that it is a journey I must continue to follow through, self discovery if you will. Humble advice from my side, I tend to identify the vibrations between the state of full awareness and the threshold of sleep, ie body asleep, mind awake. It is a PRECISE moment that can extend with practice through conscious awareness. Basically, while you body shuts down, resist allowing your mind to drift as it will suddenly move to sleep (maybe 10 minutes?). You body will begin to feel slight vibrations and will amplify if you are calm (this is why it helps to meditate REGULARLY, it centers your mind). The next step towards OBE I will leave to the experts.

I have found that phocusing on emoshinal balancing works really well for me personally. So the reason I think it works for me is a combination of factors. The first is I will always remember a previous time I had ben projecting. The second is it calms the emotion and gives you somthing non phisical to do. The third is because when you are already phocused on balancing your emotions you will not react as spontaneously to changes in your environment wasting time.

had a crazy astral projection I was under nitrous oxide at the dentist and I felt no vibrations. My consciousness just flipped instantanously. Now my "almost" astral projections where ill launch out of my body for 5 seconds the vibrations are just as you describe. Like being electricuted almost, but often my main problem is I find if I do get pre-vibrations, I tend to maybe try to hard to reach the vibrational state and I end up losing the feeling altogether. I am going to try the microsleep technique you are talking about. Ive only tried the first long and tedious lay there forever rope method. Is there a special app you use for the alarm? Also, a kind of crappy method that I have discovered that works 100% of the time for me so far is if I am up for an extremely long time and am at the point where it is almost torture being awake, think like 24 hours straight awake, I will drink some caffeinated drink or maybe have some sugar (doesnt have to be a lot) and once its finally time for me to lay down after only like 5 minutes, instant extremely intense vibrations hit me like no other. Its like my body instantly falls asleep but the caffiene kept my mind awake. Problem is staying awake for so long is extremely hard and I only do this if I am already up for that long for whatever reason. Btw i think im going to make a seperate channel and maybe talk about my progress lol

+Astral Projection the shortest interval where you can still fall asleep between each beep. I don't use the binaural beat ones. I made them for a friend who has a hard time quieting his mind. Start with 4 minute base and if you can fall asleep between each beep, move to 3 then 2. They are primarily a training tool to achieve sleep paralysis and learn to wake without moving so the more awakenings you can cram in, the more practice you get.

You are right there is no mistaking when you get to the vibrational stage. I reached this once months ago. For me it was this big booming sound in my head, scared the bejesus out of me, and I woke up. I have heard of it but it just caught me by surprise. Have you ever gone from Lucid dreaming to Astral projection? Some say it's possible, the other night I realized I was dreaming and I told myself I'm going to AP, and it just became an Astral projection dream.

I have projected without the vibrational stage, almost always from a lucid dream. I feel myself 'pushed' forward and am instantly in the astral. This didn't start happening to me until I had been projecting with the vibrational stage for a long time. My projections are involuntary- but frequent- so while I can share the experience I'm not sure how to instruct others to do this except perhaps to work on your ability to lucid dream.

Can take 1 1/2hrs to get in the right frequency. I find long astral tones help and leave them playing while you go to sleep. After a while of deep sleep you raise to a light sleep and normally the tones will make you mind conscious. This is when you imagine being somewhere normal like in your garden etc . Don't focus on the vibrations, keep your mind elsewhere or you'll just stay in vibration mode. Think of it as nothing special, and that you do it all the time.....but your just not aware of it. Have a plan before you try, maybe visit somewhere you know of but not physically been to or seen. Gives you the option to verify afterwards. It's all about raising your vibrations, if you have stress, work issues or a snoring partner , will all contribute to not getting out as it's all low frequency chaff.

I have done it spontaneously through meditation and it basically jumpstarted my spiritual journey to explore more.. As i mentioned in another vid... The easiest way is to totally expell energy or sleep deprive so that the body jumps into sleep before you get aware of it... One thing though.. You are not prepping or commenting on what lies once you pass this threshold and can lead to a very traumatizing event... For some reason.. The state between states gives way to entities, sounds and total horror if your not prepared... You will see things.. You will feel things.. You will hear things and you won't be able to move... This is not something one must take lightly... I recommend you tell and prepare your audience exactly what happens or could happen in these realms. Overcoming your fear is a must to go further..

The thing is that these sorts of scary things do not happen to me if I go into it with the right mindset and a positive attitude. That's why I mentioned in your other comment that I believe it's all self manifested based on your own fears and expectations. I've noticed over the years that religious people who believe in demons tend to see demons and I on the other hand who don't believe in demons don't see them. I also noticed that if I cut things like scary movies and violent media out of my life then I don't experience this sort of thing either. Rather than talking about all the things that possibly could happen I try to prepare people to have positive experiences by encouraging them to restrict there exposure too things that will feed a possible negative experience

Moving on later in life in the Army I was 17 and felt that I cannot feel empty inside and on the outside anymore. I threw my life at a cause that could need it more only to realize the service is a big drug sex ring and supposed real honor is dying overseas I’ve survived my deployment out of the service but am more dead inside than ever I am not interested in dying or living I am focused on the feeling of “peace” my bed swinging me to sleep I once felt as a child I eat only enough to feel okay inside but not full I do not feel depressed nor happy perhaps I am holding myself back now currently dreading on past memories but every new memory is fake and playing a character of what the setting needs me to be only to revert to staring at the wall when the curtains close. I guess I came to this channel to see the excitement and wonders other humans are experiencing and curious if I can go there myself before I lose myself more I just want to breathe.

Hello! Greetings from Norway! I love your videos and thank you for the link to The Phase (the book). I was done reading it after two days. I simply loved it and I learned soooo much about the indirect technique. But I have a really hard time remembering to stay still when I wake up or to even try to enter the phase at all. I would love to learn the methods of micro sleep. I can't just put on an alarm cause I would have to physically turn it off every time and that would ruin the whole thing. So any tips on programs or anything would be cool. You might even have said it in you video, but I didn't get it at least. I have reached the vibrations two times and that's how close I've come, but that was before I started with the indirect techniques. But a more direct technique using micro sleep is also one I will study more thorough. Is it possible to contact you via email? Thank you for your amazing service to humanity. I believe that is what you are giving out here. If you teach people baking cookies it's just about that, cookies. Teaching the phase is a whole other ballgame. For me this is life-changing stuff and should be hugely important for every man, woman and child. Anyway, I will continue with my studies of the phase and how to reach it on a regular basis. And when I'm at that point, I will do like you, and pay it forward so more people can learn this amazing thing. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ☺👍

+Whelan101 hello! Nice to virtually meet you.:) Waking without moving is a difficult thing for sure. I usually recommend the use of a ramp timer to practice this. Basically a ramp timer goes off at random intervals built on a base number. The higher the number, the more spread out any two beeps are. They are placed randomly so that your brain will start to anticipate them incorrectly, and occasionally wake you up before the beep even occurs. This serves a few functions. 1. It gives you practice relaxing and falling asleep quickly because you have to fall asleep before the next beep. 2. Every time a beep goes off, you get to practice waking up without moving a muscle, continuing to breath as though you were asleep, and immediately focus your mind on projection. 3. If you can do this over and over again successfully over the course of an hour or so, it will often lead to spontaneous sleep paralysis and sometimes you'll be lucky enough to wake mid vibration. Microsleep takes a lot of work. I have a video called the importance of microsleep that will explain my process in more detail if you haven't seen that. Here are some links to some ramp timers I have made. The ones with binaural beats are only effective through headphones and may help you relax more quickly if you have a hard time relaxing. To use them, wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning, go to the bathroom, lay back down, turn on the ramp timer of your choice on your phone or computer and then go to sleep. There is a large gap before the first beep goes off to give you time to fall asleep the first time. You are welcome to email me. My address is in the description of every video. Phase I appreciate your efforts in this quest. It's been my quest since the 70's. It wasn't until 95 that I had a OBE just randomly. Now after 30 odd times they are truly a treasure. I have not found a successful trigger although the ramp timer did it the first time . Jurgen feels it is his meditation practices as central to his success. So far no luck . grr. Have you read any Bruce Moens books? He has a interesting spin. He does something else. I feel OBE are the final frontier, what we came for. As for mushrooms,peyote, producing these results, I can say for me personally it didn't do it. It takes an amazing amount of discipline to maintain your sanity in this OBE state. Like I say the search for massive amounts of money,Drugs ,Sex , and RocknRoll are just our attempts to gain the OBE state of total power.

I am reading a book in meditation that was recomm by someone else in this community. I feel like there is likely an opportunity to connect it to this practice if I just find that connection. Good to hear you say that about drug usage. In my very limited experience and experimentation, when I was able to have an experience, it lacked clarity and control. There was a point where I was having a lot of difficulties and thought an ayauasca ceremony in Peru could help me break through the hurdles, but then I decided I would appreciate this much more if I just learned to reach it without that sort of assistance.

@phase evolution During peak training times, were you 1) practicing the micro sleeps every night and then rolling over and going to sleep if it wasn’t going to be a projection night? I ask to see if you ever project during your first set of sleep cycles and find it interesting you might can trick your brain to quickly skip through or past N2 and N3 and jump right in your first REM for the night using the dipping in and out of trance technique. 2) was this at bed time or after waking after 4-6 hours 3) if before bed just to practice controlling micro sleeps, were you also doing a wake back to bed those same nights 4) sorry so long - when you would use your ramp timer, was it with headphones? It’s been awhile since I went through all your videos, but it seemed like you had trouble projecting with headphones on. Just curious Thanks!

I practice microsleep to reach the void state almost every night just because I enjoy it. Projection even to this day is far far easier if using the wake back to bed method. I limit that to 2 or 3 times a week so I don't exhaust myself through sleep deprivation. The ramp timer was with earbuds or with a fuzzy headband that has earphones built in. It is definitely harder to project with earphones on for me. I do best with earplugs, but the ramp timers were more of a training tool than anything else to get familiar with the sensations and to build my intent and habit of setting my focus upon waking.

First, HATS OFF to your humble personality and your incredible ability to shoot a video non-stop for 30 minutes despite all the distractions and do it VERY WELL. I have a question and would very much appreciate it if you take the time to read and respond. I know that as you rightly say, different people experience things differently and some have more potential than others, but I've come to the understanding in my research that as the groundwork and a rule of thumb for astral projection, you NEED to have the third eye/pineal gland developed/activated. And just like building muscles, that takes time, persistence and practice. Then again, you may be lucky enough to have a mature/developed third eye already and not know about it, but for the majority of folks with an untrained third eye, the first thing to do should be training/exercise to develop the third eye, or so I've heard. Perhaps I'm wrong and all these various methods also work as an exercise for building vibrations and developing the third eye, but please share your thoughts on where the third-eye development stands in all this. Many Thanks!
@PhaseEvolution
@PhaseEvolution 4 жыл бұрын
My thoughts are that if it is a requirement, it was one that I was completely unaware of. I had never heard of the third eye until I had been having OBEs for over a year. The whole idea of doing things like decalcifying your pineal gland through removing fluoride from your diet is something I hadn't tried until at lest a couple years into my practice and then eventually I abandoned the effort because it didn't seem to make any difference. Meditation helps a ton, so if you believe that helps you develop your third eye, then maybe that makes sense, but for me it was more about learning to focus my mind, practice inducing the sense of movement, and relaxing so my body could shut down. I have always had a very pragmatic approach to the practice and I think anyone who is willing to put in the time and effort can get there.

Thank you very much for your videos. I am new Out of Body. I have been meditating for many years and I did feel my body vibrating one time, while attending a meditation retreat. I didn’t know what it was, but it lasted for a couple of hours while laying down, stayed with me after opening my eyes, walking and then in a sitting meditation. I tried the sleeping, using a ramp timer as you talk about in this video and on the 3rd night, I felt a strong vibration throughout my body. I agree with your comment that you “know” that this is happening. It was much stronger than the vibration that I felt before. It felt like I was going to roll out of bed, so I moved and could not get back to it. The next day, I was very excited about what I felt and shared it with some friends, that kind of understand. What should I do the next time this happens? Thanks again!
@PhaseEvolution
@PhaseEvolution 6 жыл бұрын
You have a couple of options. Ideally, you should remain completely calm and outwardly indifferent to the vibrations when they occur, since any sort of strong emotion will put an end to them. This is easier said than done, but after a half dozen times of reaching them, they become more manageable. The clearest out of body experience for me occurs if I let the vibrations progress as I continue my relaxation. The vibrations will eventually smooth out into a more comfortable hum similar to the feeling of a cell phone vibration. During the initial heavy rough vibrational sensations, you can get up at any time, just like you were really rolling out of bed or sitting up. The resistance however, in the early state of the vibrations can feel almost insurmountable . It is like the feeling of pulling yourself out of a pool of water, or being glued to your physical body or being attached with tight rubber bands. You can muscle your way out, but at this stage, you will most likely have a very dark, low energy experience. That can be rectified once you are out by getting as far away from your body as you can and intensely engaging your senses to pull awareness into your non-physical body, but if you can hold out until the sensation is more akin to a cell phone vibration, the separation is complete at this point and you are just lying overlapping the physical body. For me, a clear indication of this is that I can see through my sleep mask and eyelids. Getting up and rolling out is much easier at this point and the experience will be much more lucid and bright from the start. If you have trouble staying calm, by all means, separate early on. A low energy experience is still and experience and this will give you the motivation you need to push forward.

Is there any way to stop reaching the vibrational period? I get there often and I have no desire to astral travel right now. I never heard the term until I started describing to a friend. I thought was having some sort of mental or physical breakdown. Before the vibrations I get the strangest images flashing in my mind, the best way to describe it is I'm watching a movie. The strangest things people I've never seen or people I haven't thought about in years, some people are half animal and some animals are gigantic, tunnels or caves it's all incredibly strange but I actually sit back and enjoy the movie. As long as I let the images flash in my mind and I don't give them any thought when something incredibly strange shows up the images just keep coming. After a few minutes of the crazy movie in my head I start to drift off to sleep but right when I do my entire body starts vibrating from the inside out. I feel like I'm lighter but not necessarily floating, as if I'm no longer aware of my physical sensations of my body or the bed, and every single time the loudest boom in my ears and I'm jolted wide awake. I actually pulled a muscle in my back last month because I guess I jolted so hard my muscle spazzed out. So while I very thoroughly enjoy this crazy movie that happens in my head I don't enjoy the vibrations and jolt or the possibility of traveling the astral planes. I'm a very fearful person and I've been doing some spiritual and energy work to release those fears but so in the meantime I'd like to stay right here on this plane. Thank you for any suggestions I'll take 'em.

You seem to be having the same issue that Robert Monroe had. He couldn't stop them and thought he was dying. In the end he finally said "if it is going to kill me, let it kill me". And he stopped fighting it. That is where his adventures began. I know it may not seem like it, but you truly have a gift. Unfortunately, most people, myself included, have to work to consciously reach the vibrational state, so I'm not sure what advice to give you. One thing I will say is that changes in emotion like excitement or putting too much attention in the vibrations will tend to shut them down for me. They don't seem to want to be noticed or occur when you aren't calm and relaxed. Not sure that helps any...

@@PhaseEvolution That would explain why the vibrations started coming shortly after I learned to meditate. The friend who showed me how meditation can calm my mind is the only one I've told because I really thought I was dying. I stopped meditating for awhile out of fear after she told me what the vibrations were but not meditating is worse than the vibrations. I've learned to quite my mind and when I do these beautiful colors open up like flowers and it's so calming. I don't practice any special meditation except to quiet my mind and I've even learned not to place any thought when the colors come. So it sounds like I'm having fear of the unknown, which I've always had anyway but it's so refreshing to read I'm not dying and someone else has experienced this. Thank you so much.

But you are talking lucid dreaming with the “look at your hands” method during a normal dream. Once lucid, you become conscious within the particular dreamscape your subconscious has conjured and you can play to your heart’s delight there. But this is not Astral Projection. You can move to Projection by just closing your “dream eyes” and demanding “This is just a silly dreamscape I’m in. I now want OUT of this DREAM and to Astrally Project!!” The first time I tried this recommendation, my dreamscape quickly collapsed like a cheap Hollywood movie set and I found myself rocketing through space with all this other action going on in my periphery which I couldn’t or didn’t care about. I was just focused on this growing window of light with wonderful colors and light which I was rocketing to. The bottom line is when becoming lucid understand that the dream is fake, order it to disappear, and demand to be taken to your “higher self” or some other predetermined place or locale which you stated as an intention to travel to before falling asleep.

Phase Evolution Heck Yeah! While dreaming about talking a walk with my two preteen Daughters, I became lucid and suddenly up ahead I saw my Father who had passed 25 years before my Daughters were born. He was shoveling out of his old pick up. He looked at me and said “Hey Bub!” (his favorite greeting) and said “Who do you have there?”, referring to my Daughters. With great emotion, I introduced my Daughters to their long deceased Grandfather! I also was dreaming once of eating at a Spanish restaurant with a large group of old friends. I ran with the bulls in Pamplona about a half dozen years or so and this was a Pamplona dream. I began to pay more attention and looked across the table and saw my Best Friend from High School grinning directly at me with a spark of amusement in his eyes. I then snapped lucid. He had also passed 2003 or so and we had had a falling out before I had heard that he was hospitalized and had passed away. I had been living with tremendous remorse and guilt for over a decade. Both of us simultaneously stood up knocking our chairs back and ran to embrace each other. I was crying, telling him how sorry I was and that I never got a chance to apologize and tell him that I loved him like my own Brother. He just kept saying, “I know, pal. I know I know. I love you too.” The thing is that everything about him was exactly as he was. His always stubbled face. He was sweating and his shirt was soaked. But it was the best, most honest, most real moment. I have no doubt that he was able to enter my dream where he waited for me to become lucid. He needed the closure as much as I did. Honestly, I believe my Father did the same. I never intended to meet either one in a lucid dream. It was then that I realized that lucidity was a portal between our reality and the Spirit World. I never understood why people don’t take Bulman’s advice to use LD and AP more for spiritual growth. There is so much to learn, room to grow, to spiritually evolve. And we are only here for such a short fruit fly (relatively) lifespan!

What people fail to realize about relaxation is that you must also relax your brain's frequency, not just your body directly. Until your frequency drops and you truly relax, you are still just slightly tensed but don't realize it. You have to let your mind get cloudy or fuzzy as if you are actually going to sleep. And that's the hard part. This is what you actually have to hold onto lightly if you want to project. If your body is asleep, but your mind is still active, you will not project because your brain's frequency has not dropped into Theta. You still have too much Beta/Alpha waves rather than Alpha dipping into Theta. You need to hit Theta before your mind hits the sleep stage, which is necessary for complete dissociation.

@@PhaseEvolution Appreciate the reply. Your perspective appears to come primarily from direct experience rather than simply repeating what others have already said, which I appreciate. Most KZfaqrs and writers are primarily repeating what they have read, and those writers are repeating what they have read, etc., ad nauseam. The mind leads the body, the body doesn't lead the mind. If you relax the mind, the body will follow. Too many teachers preach the reverse, which leads to months or years of discouragement, because the hopeful OBEer is focusing on the wrong aspect of the process. You may not say this directly, but you do focus more on the OBEer's mental state in your videos, which is refreshing.

The vibrational state, for me, stopped about two years after it started. Since then, I’ve had to rely on other physiological symptoms as my Beacon. My method is as follows, I meditate, and practice the mind awake/body a sleep state. I train my mind to maintain a light sleep. I also do Robert Bruce’s tactile imaging to strengthen my energetic body. The vibrations are used to get have since been replaced with a feeling of warmth, and mild tingling. This feeling of warmth is very pronounced when the energetic body is highly charged and activated. When a person learns how to manifest their energy body, and is proficient at the wake/sleep State, the exit is almost unmistakable. You don’t need the vibrations anymore because the feeling of the energy body leaving the physical is literally unmistakable.

@@monizakkour6466 - tactile imaging is the process of using your focused awareness in, on, and around your body. Where attention goes, energy flows. As a test, trace a circle anywhere on your body for about a minute, while keeping your eyes closed. Memorize the feeling, and sensation that is created while you’re doing this. Then, try to replicate the same sensation without using your finger to trace the circles. After a couple minutes, you will start to feel pressure, or heat in that part of your body. This is the process of using your awareness to stimulate the Chi in your body. Once you get proficient, you can move this awareness up and down your body until your energy field Is formed, and can be used as a vehicle for consciousness.

But I have felt the vibration stage in every time i “intentionally” tried to project but it was actually scary that I always have trouble working through it. In the beginning I'd always get stuck to the physical body. "Imagining flying or floating" as Monroe suggested just didn't work for me. I had to manually try to sit up during the vibrations. This would project me very close to physicality IF it didn't cut the vibrations all together. What I do now, and I'm like Phase whereas I ALWAYS enter the vibrations first, is raise their frequency. Raising the frequency is key for me. Separation becomes very, very easy at that point; however, in that state, thought and action flow as one. Tip here is to strengthen your awareness and eliminate assumptions.

It won't be something you have to do. In those instances where you achieve a complete separation and you are stumbling through your room in the dark, sight will come as you engage your senses as intensely as possible and pull remaining awareness out of your physical body and into your non-physical.

A sensation of movement or vertigo -as in, a wavy or twisting motion - is actually the astral body separated from the physical. I've had OBEs without vibrations, and those times are when I've felt like I was moving on a water bed, or like my limbs were twisting. From this point you don't need vibrations because you're already separated. You merely need to do a shift of consciousness by using the rope technique, or perception shift technique, or even trying to stand up or roll out of bed.

That makes sense. For me a feeling of intense motion will induce the vibrations, but as you say, when you can perform something like phantom wiggling with a level of realism that parallels the physical world, you are no longer connected and maybe the vibrations are not needed. They are just what I have become accustomed to as part of the disconnect process.

+brett chitwood not necessarily. I don't think the vibrations see something we create. I think they are something we perceive during the process of disconnecting from the non-physical. I think we have the way for them through intent and positivity and a desire to experience something new and they happen on their own. I have never felt like they are something that I have created so to speak. They are never really in my control. It is like witnessing a procedure being done to you and if you can remain calm as a cucumber while it occurs you are rewarded with an incredible experience. Pretty soon I got the led blanket feeling and my mind began dipping in and out of sleeping consciousness. As this was progressing I heard the weird static sounds in my ear which I haven't heard before though I have heard you mention. I began feeling the vibrations but this time they felt really good. It was a very fine tuned vibrational frequency. It seemed like a very high frequency that was evenly dispersed throughout my whole body. Before the vibrations had been very choppy and at a lower frequency but intense and rather unpleasant, kind feeling like and earth quake. This time it felt great. It was like that sensation you get when you are emotionally moved and you get the chills and your hairs stand up and you get a kind of shiver up your spine. It was like that but time a thousand. And those chills where throughout my entire body and where coming in waves. At one point I felt my body edging of my mattress and I knew I was close to projecting but I was worried that my arm slipping off the mattress would be something that would pull me out so I tried to subtly move my body back to the center of the mattress without pulling me out of the vibrations but I found it really hard to move.. basically like I was in sleep paralysis. (Later when I came to, I realized my body was exactly where I had left it when I began the practice so I don't think it was my physical body slipping off) I relaxed into the vibrations and My consciousness dipped into 3 very distinct and vivid dreams. After these dreams I was awoken by my three year old son who had come into the room half asleep. He had hit my arm and that is what woke me up. I was kinda surprised to see him there but I picked him up to bring him back to his bed. I was focused on him and my wife had awoken and was there with me as I was brining him back to his bed. I got to the doorway of his room that was right next door and I looked at my wife and I realized that it was not her. It kinda looked like her but DEFINITELY was not. I said "you look different" and then she said "because I am different" as she had this really creepy smile the whole time (the communication was not spoken but in thought as you have described). I dropped my son on the floor in shock and fell backward on my but as I scrambled back in terror. (It seemed so real and the whole time I thought I was in waking consciousness) as I'm scrambling backwards in terror I realize that I have probably projected and that's what I'm experiencing . I'm still scared and want to get the fu** out of there so I decide to see if I can fly through the wall to exit the house and I did just that. As I leave my house I can see my neighborhood but it is almost impossible to make out as it is all gray and distorted. I remember herring you talk about making demands in the astral realm to improve clarity so I attempt to speak "vision" and "clarity" but I'm trying to move my physical mouth but there is nothing there and the words won't come out. At this point I find myself back in my body and awake. Idk if my description will let you know if this was a projection or a really weird lucid dream/false awakening... it seemed more dream like than I expected but also seem more real than a dream so I am not sure. For half of it I thought I was actually awake. If I didn't know better I would just say it was a really creepy, intense, and vivid dream. What do you think?

+Sean Harrison based on all the pre-exit sensations I would say it was likely a projection. Regardless of what it was though, sounds like a cool experience!

Indeed , you'll know when you get there for me it starts as a low pitch buzz with the crickets in the background then it finalizes with a weird silence after a high pitch thats when I start to imagine the hammock sway and roll to the right sometimes I get frustrated because i've dealt with so much stress during the day that its hard for me to relax and project, so i tend to try and reconnect myself and get all the negativity out from me it indeed takes a toll from my mental focus

+Raiden HD Gameplay negativity and stress is definitely a huge hurdle. I don't stand a chance if I have had a bad day. It is just too hard to quiet my mind and go deep enough

when that happens I try to leave it for the next day right after I wake up , and even if have no luck I stay more relax during the day so I can return home and practice it at night but Vibrations are stronger for me when I have the desire to project

most people dont know what they want or what they'll do in the astral realm so without a purpose the projection seems to bear no fruits and will occur rarely

I have never projected in my life. I have always had vibrations though. They get really intense. So much so that it takes over my whole body and is actually quite uncomfortable. Is this common?

For microsleep you’re talking about the ramp timer right? I’ve tried it a couple times using your KZfaq videos, it’s pretty trippy!

+Robert Weekes no, but that is a good way to practice. Microsleep is basically letting yourself dip into sleep for just a brief second and then pull yourself back out. It works similarly o hypnotic fractionation, where each time you come out of trance and then dip back in, you go further in than the previous time. It takes a lot of practice to be able to catch that moment where you dip in and to pull back out,but very doable. I practiced for 6 months in the back of my van during lunch breaks. It is good to practice in a place that is uncomfortable and in a position not natural to sleep.

I thought I had reached the vibrational state once. There was no doubt that I had until just now listening to you talk about it feeling like an electrical shock. What I experienced was more like I was laying in the back of a pickup, everything was smooth and normal, then it felt like the truck turned down the railroad tracks at 60 mph. I think in frequency it was much slower than an electrical shock. It was a short, rough ride. I was so startled I woke up and lay there for minute saying "What the hell was that?" I was definitely, completely, positively, not prepared for anything like that. It wasn't like the time I grabbed the positive and negative wire of a 220 volt line. But now that I am thinking of it, maybe if I had held onto that line, I would have gotten a feeling of vibration from it. I probably would have. I have a question. Do you think you always remember your OBE's? I was a bit discouraged by a girl who said she didn't remember most of her OBE's? I woke up one time from what I thought was an OBE, but then talked myself into believing it was a dream. There was a different quality to this "dream." I was me, but I was not me. Like some of me was left behind or something. I was flying along side a country road a couple miles from my house and I saw my daughters dog running along at terrific speed. I was thinking it should go back home. It was raining and very dark, like it was outside at the time. When I woke up, something that struck me as peculiar was that it was dark and I can't remember ever having a dream when I was in the darkness in a dream.

+Wayne Wallace sounds like the vibrational state to me. From what I gather, people experience it in slightly different ways. I just tend to share from my own experience. Your question about remembering OBEs depends on your how you define OBEs. If we are talking about conscious exit projection, yes, I remember them all. This is where I consciously exit my body while awake. Some authors claim that we go OBE every night and we just aren't aware unless we do the work to make the experiences conscious. If that is the case, I can say I do not remember my unconscious OBEs.

I was talking about conscious OBE's. Your answer is what I was expecting. Thank you for clearing that up. And thank you for the answer for the vibrational state too. Wow. What an unusual thing.

That sounds right. They can be much more, or much less intense. Either way, they are unmistakable and you will know when you feel them. They could never be confused with imagination.
