Thanks for the video! Btw I use a silicone mat to push down and flatten the tops into a smooth surface when I pour hot process soap. I bet that would help here too 😊

You asked, so I'm going to answer just because your question made me giggle. It looked like something in a baby's diaper in the pot. GIGGLE! BUT, I've seen MUCH worse colors in rebatch videos. LOL! The ending color is actually super nice! It looks like a very comforting soap! Do you mind sharing your recipe? I'm so new to soap making and man, I've made 3 really bad batches. My 4th one looked and smell great but it has wayyyy too much coconut oil in it so I'll probably use it in a confetti soap with the main soap being activated charcoal so the pink/rose color of the over CO soap will pop out. Excellent and super helpful video! Subbing because of that and because your accent is heavenly.

Loool thank you so much. Yes it does look like that and surprisingly customers loved it and it sold out faster than my best designed soaps 😅. I got the molds on Amazon, they actually came together. Thanks so much for the sub ❤

@@CreamySuds Dang, I didn't see your first message in my notifications. No matter what it looked like in the beginning, it turned out GORGEOUS! A rustic and natural looking soap. I'd buy it for sure! :) I wonder if soap swaps are a thing? That would be super cool!

I have a bunch of small 🧼 soaps from hotel that I work...can I do this technique with them? Should I put boiling water and then soaps in another bowl and over boiling water to melt? Should I add a little bit of water into chopped up soaps..?🤔

Thank you, now I know how to melt my shea soap shavings into liquid wash 💃💃💃
@CreamySuds3 жыл бұрын
Lol don't do it... it won't work. This is a process used to save soaps that were made incorrectly or to use soap shavings. Looool don't go and waste your soap oh.

I wonder what happens when you put in more water, will it be in a liquid state or will it harden?
@CreamySuds3 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't know but what I think is it'll take longer to cure than you would need. Rebatched soap are usually almost always ready to use but just to get it to dry up I cured for about 2 weeks. So the more water, the more cure time I guess.

I'm thinking more water would mean liquid wash. I intend to try it out and see.

@@ABISOLAAKINYEMI to make liquid wash you use a completely different alkali... so you'll use Potassium Hydroxide and not Sodium Hydroxide. So no, it won't turn into liquid.

Please how many days do you have to wait for the soap to cure before using on skin
@CreamySuds5 ай бұрын
For a hot process soap or a rebatched soap that's been heated, you can use immediately. But cold process soaps should cure for 4-6 weeks before use.

Can I use ordinary water? I don't have distilled water
@CreamySuds Жыл бұрын
Good question. The problem with ordinary tap water is that it can contain minerals and can sometimes be hard water which will seriously affect the soap. If you have bottled water, I think that might be a better option.... or if you're sure your tap water is not hard then it will also be fine. Hard water is the enemy of handmade soaps and it's the reason some soaps don't lather.... people blame the soap but it's usually the water that causes it. Easy way to test for hard water is how easily your hands get squeaky when you wash them. If they get squeaky very quickly, then you likely have hard water. Hope this helps.

Would it still work to rebatch soap without adding the other soap strands that you added?

Is it possible to add other ingredients like oil, oats or even turmeric?
@CreamySuds10 ай бұрын
@waliyyahshaik2094 you can add oat/turmeric. I don't forsee any real issues provided you're not adding too much. As for oils, you might want to be careful as there may not be enough lye to saponify the new oils and so it may completely ruin the soap. If it's just a teaspoon of oil, that may not be an issue.
@waliyyahshaik209410 ай бұрын
@@CreamySuds any idea what the ratio of oil is to the soap? As well as the oats and turmeric
