OMG congrats on the recall! Thats amazing news. You're clearly doing something right! The fear you're feeling is an indication that you're going towards something you truly truly want which is actually very exciting! Just take a breath, LISTEN to the redirection and go for it 100%. The only way to crash and burn in redirection is to do the speech the exact same way you did it before. Always shift! Have an amazing recall!

Yes I can say this definitely is something I want, I have only just learnt properly about Drama school training and it is my first time applying after a very last minute decision in December as I wasn't feeling university was for me. So since all this is new to me, I have not stopped researching and watching videos like this and your videos have been super helpful!! I will definitely take a breath before I join the zoom call and listen to what they say, I'm just hoping that I fully understand the context of the redirection if that makes sense? Like if they tell me to lower the stakes, then to what extent to I lower the stakes? Do I turn my emotional and raw monologue into a comedic one where the character is so blasé and uncaring? Or do I still make it natural and believable and still be the same character I have created but with different thoughts? Or do I just completely change the whole characterisation to suit the redirections and really do something different as a whole new character? There's just so many questions and thoughts running through my head!! I'm also just so new to this all so I really don't know what to expect, what they expect and to what extent I should take on the redirections, I literally cannot sleep at night thinking about it!!
