Born and raised in the UPC in Alabama, it was nothing to see men and women falling out or running in the spirit speaking in language I never heard. I never felt fear as a child, It's just something that always happened at church. I never had friends that would spend the night with me Saturday because they were too afraid of my church. I only had one friend that wasn't UPC, the rest of them were either family members who were all UPC or other church members. I never visited any church that wasn't United Pentecostal So I had no clue not all churches worship like this. As a kid we would go to UPC camp every year, it was the best 2 weeks of my life because I wasn't the only girl who was wearing dresses everyday, they all were. I longed to fit in. I wanted to know what it was like to wear pants and makeup. I tried so hard receiving the Holy Ghost every year at camp, I wanted to make my mother and Pastor proud. I could feel the presence of the Holy Ghost so strong but I always held back. Never received the gift of the Holy Ghost. (There is a point to my rambling, I promise.) The UPC Church, I grew up in was very small, My pastor was and still is head over all the UPC churches in Mobile, It was a very small church with only an organ and a piano and no other instruments. No fancy sound equipment just microphones. We didn't even have cushions on the bench and during Revival our church attendance would get up to the 80s and that was considered a packed church. So....there I was, double digits in age and all my cousins and family had spoken in tongues and I had resolved myself to never being able to receive the Holy Ghost because I secretly had desires to wear blue jeans and makeup. That's what I had decided. One Sunday night, it was a regular Sunday night service, Pastor gave a good service, you could feel the Holy Ghost As he started doing altar call and his wife got on the organ as usual to play a tune. Ladies praying with ladies men with men bobby pins and shoes were flying and I was at my usual spot at the alter. The pastor would always come over and lay hands and Sometimes I would dread it because I know he would lay hands on me a little longer because he knew I wasn't filled with the Holy Ghost and I knew I was going to be letting everyone down once again. That's how I felt in my head anyway. And sometimes I wouldn't want him to pray over me in the first place because I would feel so good being around the spirit And I didn't want that to be ruined by not receiving the Holy Ghost. But that night when he laid his hands on my forehead I prayed differently. I wasn't praying for God to fill me with the Holy Ghost. I wasn't asking God for anything. I felt amazing as I often did, but that night as Pastor laid hands on my forehead I started praying a prayer different from any I had ever prayed and I don't even know why. And Not only was I praying completely different but I was speaking it out loud. I was almost shocked by the words that was coming out of my mouth. I began to thank God. Instead of asking for the Holy Ghost. I was thanking Him for the amazing presence that I could feel, I thanked Him for my mama and my brother and sister who were somewhere shouting in tongues because I could hear them. I was giving God praise like I've never praised him before in my young life. When all of a sudden a wind came from somewhere, I couldn't tell you which direction the wind came from but it came down. And when it came down it went through me. It was a warm wind that felt like it literally went through me and at that very instant. I felt pure love like I had never felt before in my life. It was the most beautiful feeling in the world and I began to shout in tongues, I went from the altar all the way to the back of the church speaking in tongues And I have no idea how I got to the back of the church. I can only assume my church family just moved out of the way and let me walk in the spirit, or run in the spirit, I really don't know. After I stopped speaking in tongues that feeling of love wasn't gone and all I could do was laugh and cry at the same time. I was 12. 12 years old. And I remember not being caught up in finally receiving the Holy Ghost although I had so many members rejoicing with me over my gift, I remember thinking " I can't wait to make it to heaven if this is what it feels like up there". And every time I received the blessing for years after the Holy Ghost, It felt just as good as the first time. My point is this, The Holy Ghost isn't going to be forced on you. Your body isn't going to be zapped and possessed, as I've often had people ask me. And you don't have to beg for the Holy Ghost. You'll receive it when you're ready. It's not going to jump on you. So if you're ever in a Pentecostal church, and you see people running into the pews, running the aisles, staggering around the pulpit or just laid out on the floor in laughter, they're all just fine, they're just feeling pure love. I don't belong to a UPC anymore and I've did my share of things of the world, there's not a single drug on Earth that can replicate the feeling of receiving the Holy Ghost, believe me. Thank you for letting me share my story. I feel God tugging me back to the church. It would be great if anyone could lift my name to God, the devil is liar but he's attacking me and my family right now. God Bless.

I'm thankful for men and women of GOD who give the treasure of the knowledge of GOD away so freely. Thieves and pirates are less willing to give there treasure away.

Many people seem to be getting the gifts of the spirits tounges and interpretation that’s mentioned by Paul and the tounges when you receive the Holy Ghost mixed up. When Paul was saying if everybody could speak and tounges and someone interpret he was referring to the gifts of the spirit not the Holy Ghost tounges.

Not everyone has the same experience. Some have been Baptized in THE HOLY GHOST just washing dishes , digging a ditch or wherever, and however GOD chooses. GOD knows us. HE knows us. It's truly a HOLY experience. He's so amazing.

Amazing how people can read the Bible, and read how it says that you will speak in tongues when you get the Holy Ghost but because they disagree with that or because they didn't get that experience or because they don't want that experience they spend more time explaining that away, then just simply obeying the word. Of God. I'm so glad I have this truth I'm so glad I have the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongue's I'm so glad that I obeyed the word instead of trying to rationalize it away. READ THE WORD, OBAY THE WORD. QUIT DEBATING IT!

He's doing a very good job at addressing the issues people see with my wonderful church keeping them from entering . as a member it's refreshing to hear a pastor address these things using scripture as to why they shouldn't be done .

I go to a non-denominational Christian Church and have friends that are Assembly of God pastors. But I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit. Wish there was more shouting of amens and hallelujah’s in my church. Which I do shout myself. Make a joyful noise!!! The Holy Spirit comes upon me when I share the Gospel. I love Holy Fire Pentecostal preaching!!! Gives me glory bumps all the time!!

I got the Holy Ghost at youth camp when I was 9. Sis Vesta Mangun was the speaker that night. Three ladies stood me on the altar bench and were yelling things for me to say. Suddenly one leaned in to say something in my ear and bit me on the earlobe. I was turning my head to look at her because I was so shocked but then I crunched my eyes tighter and thought "no, she can bite it off but I'm going to get the Holy Ghost!" The next thing I knew I heard someone speaking in tongues and realized it was me! I started jumping and they set me on the floor. When I came down from my Holy Ghost Heavenly experience they said I had been dancing and speaking in tongues for an hour.

It's hard for me to believe that people argue scriptures and try to find reasons not to believe they can receive the Holy Ghost the same way original believers received it. Thank God, out of all the ungodly and even satanic things I did in my life, at least I never argued against the saving truth of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord did finally get a hold of me and filled me with the Holy Ghost back in November of 1994, and I did speak in another tongue as the Spirit gave me utterance If your tongue, which is your most unmanageabe body part, is yielded to God Almighty, so will be the rest of your being. That's why God uses glossalia to prove to us we have been filled and indwelled. Having anyone else there to hear me speak in tongues was optional. I heard me. I felt what had happened. It was as real as breathing. It's a good idea to believe the truth and not argue with it. Anyway, I hope everyone who watches this video enjoys it and gets something good out of watching it. I beg you,if you can pray in the spirit, do it often, I was 14 when i believe i was able to do so,i also allowed sexual sin in my life,and instead of pressing into God,I walked away due to family trouble and being a dumb naive kid,I didnt know what a huge mistake I was making at the time,and I continued in sin to where I believe the holy spirit left me along time ago,dont tolerate sin like I did,pray yourself strong in the spirit, dont let satan steal your eternity like I did😭

I saw a man seeking the Holy Ghost 35 years ago and for about 10 or 15 minutes he said all the right things and seemed to have the right attitude but then suddenly he changed and started shaking his fist towards Heaven and saying I hate you God! You won't give me the Holy Ghost! It scared me so bad. I couldn't get away from him fast enough. My Dad who was the Pastor stopped him and talked to him and told him he would never get the Holy Ghost like that. He tried to explain what he needed to do and find out why he acted like that but got no where with him. We never saw him again.

I've never received the baptism of the Holy Ghost I gave my life to Jesus at the Elim pentecostal Church in 1988 I've never spoken in tongues. Eventually in 1995 I returned to the Catholic Church and I've been their ever since. In 2013 I came across the Apostolic pentecostals and Oneness I've been watching these great preachers ever since especially Anthony Mangun and Lee Stoneking I especially like Jeff Arnold and Billy Cole.

I believe alot of Apostolics pressure you into the running thing..I had it happen to me as a teenager...I walked out of the church totally devastated and humiliated in front of 100 people..I love the apostolic truth but If im not feeling it..DONT TRY AND FORCE UR WAY OF WORSHIP ON ME..I wanna feel it in the holyghost not perform for u to show im saved..

So many overlook the Scriptures. The "Cloven" tongues like as of fire IS the Holy Ghost tongues. The "Other" tongues as the Spirit gave utterance was the languages where in all the devout men from every nation under heaven spoke. Acts chapter 10 explains that you WILL speak with tongues and magnify God when you receive the HolyGhost. Peter said can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized seeing they have received the HolyGhost like as we? For they HEARD them speak with tongues and magnify God. YOU WILL speak with tongues when you receive the HolyGhost. If you haven't you DON'T have it. And for those of you who say it's not for us or other generations read John chapter 7:37-39. If you believe on Jesus as the scripture has said, you WILL receive the HolyGhost.

I just read a book about early Pentecost and I have to wonder, why haven't I experienced this in my life. I have had a life of defeat and suffering, in spite of seeking God. I know I need the baptism. I know haven't experienced it and it breaks my hear. May God show me his mercy.

My son who is 9 been asking to receive the Holy Ghost. My two kids Baptist acts 2:38. My 13 yo daughter is Baptist too but is being influence by her friends about sexuality. Please teach me what I need to do.

32:16 he said I believe I will see. 3,000 souls receive the Holy Ghost! He did see it in 1993 way more than 3,000 and 2003 way more than 3,000 to my knowledge

I need HELP please. I just done the baptism in watter on 22 July this yr but I have some issues receiving the baptism with Holy Spirit. They prayed, till now I have not experienced the speaking yet. The person who did my baptism, studied himself and his wife and baptised each other,nobody baptised them, but I did not see the fruit of patience, meekness etc in the guy who baptised me but oposite, and the person said he did miracles of healing, but we need to see the fruits not miracles. The baptism was done in Jesus name and a pastor said the corect one is Jesus CHRIST, or LORD Jesus as they are many men called Jesus. Is my baptism valid? Many thanks.

Can someone help me? I received the Holy Ghost nearly a year ago, and have struggled trying to speak in tongues ever since. Everyone around me tells me to remain patient and keep trying and I have but I must be honest, I'm beginning to feel hopeless, and feeling like I'm not only letting them down but God. I feel so far away from God, I wonder if it's a sign to just stop wasting everyone's time. Please someone, if you've ever struggled with this or seen it, help me. I don't want to burn for eternity.

There is much confusing teaching about tongues. Lots of ambiguity. I didn’t realize for years that I HAD TO SPEAK. I was waiting for a lightning bolt to strike me and force words out of my mouth. I also thought I wasn’t repentant enough. I gave up all the overt sinning, but I knew I still sinned… Everyone still sins. No one can completely stop sinning. This is why the doctrine of justification through faith is important.

Can anyone answer me PLEASE!!? Can you receive the Holy Spirit if your in sin? There is this lady at church that seeks to be filled yet she hasn't gave up certain sins,I tell her she must repent and turn from them she says she can't( she is not even trying), so I tell her she must be willing to die to sin first( so she can LIVE) BUT the church, which I'm new to(new town), gather around her almost every Sunday to no avail. They tell her that when she receives the Holy Ghost she'll stop sinning, again, I tell her when she stops sinning she'll receive the Holy Ghost!! This church is part of UPC so I'm just asking is this how they believe!!???

It's a personal experience with God. You can't tell someone how to.
