Currently driving a 2011 GC and it has the same problem as the previous car, also a 2011 GC, namely no A/C. On the previous van I had the refrigerant added and A/C was great for the rest of the summer. Next year again nothing. So I must have a leak somewhere. Can a garage determine where the leak is? The only responses I get are imply the fix would cost more than it's worth

Hey there! Yes, it sounds like there could be a leak. Yes, the fix could be very expensive, especially if the compressor needs replacing. Has anyone suggest using a sealant as a cheap fix? Duracool make one, you recharge your AC then also add the sealant can as well and it helps seal up any leaks by making the rubber gaskets swell a little and therefore hopefully seal up the leak. It may be worth a shot? May save you a lot of money and may last a good few years more that way? So question, I have the exact same van, the drivers front vents blow cool, the passenger side blows warm and the back blows hot even if all controls are set to cool and a/c on. I did a refill of the ac, only helped the drivers vents. I'm starting to suspect one or more of the control flaps are broken in the a/c system. Want to know what you think before I go ripping the dash apart

My edge does that. Climate door has to be reset. Go on KZfaq for instructions.
