Jezebel wanted to kill Elijah the prophet and many other prophets were killed by her. Also, there are many situations in the scriptures where the fear of Yah/God was enforced at a certain time, not the love of God. Look at the time Korah stirred up the people against Moses and God caused the earth to swallow them up. Also look at what happened with Aaron and Mariam for speaking against Moses. The word says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. As others have stated, a true prophet isn't sent to give smooth saying but rather to call the rebellious to repent or face judgment. Saul disobeyed God and was out of order. The Most High stopped speaking to him due to his hateful envious attitude towards David, ,his hardened heart and defiant disobedience. Woman of God some prophets literally prophesied judgment, doom and gloom of judgment to come upon the people who turned away, read Ezekiel and jeremiah they gave warnings. So ppl of of God pray for discernment and wisdom. A lot of the prophecies in the old testament was seriously scary. And if you feel fear its NOT always the prophets fault, That fear could be because u are out of order with God or living in your flesh ..im just saying. Thank you sis. I was in an elevator and a disabled guy in crutches walked in and asked me if i take assistance? I was confused but praying he doesn’t ask me to carry him whatever he was saying then he went on and prophesied over me, 2 of us in an elevator but he spoke about something i have been suspecting in my life was happening and i gave him my attention. He then gave me his number to call him for more details but i prayed, asked God if i should and as i was at church, few minutes before the time he asked me to call, God didn’t say anything but i had peace with not calling him, i then scratched off his number from my journal and that was it. Now here’s what made me doubt a few things, he mentioned things about being from Nigeria, being flown by the President to resolve some country issues and he’s flying back to Nigeria tomorrow. That raised so many questions because he was so alone, with no security guards around him etc. as a person specifically in the country because of the state’ president.
