How to record drums using a modified Glyn Johns 4 mic technique with the Universal Audio Apollo as well as the uad Neve 88rs preamp plugin and uad 1176 plugin, we use a 4 mics drum recording John Bonham style drums. This is my favorite way of recording drums, especially with the Uad Neve 88rs and uad 1176 plugins. Learn how to get great results with this technique for your recordings, especially with the Universal Audio Apollo and uad plugins. 4 mic drum recording is perfectly suitable for getting great drum tracks! I also go over setting up each mic for recording great drums, in this tutorial. I am using the Rode nt1, advanced audio cm-47 fet and the warm audio 47 jr.
