Options to connect your interface to your computer would be very helpful. I have a Zoom R16. I have two 1/4 inch outs that go directly to my amps. Thanks for your input.

I record from my iPad Pro using a lead that has an usb plug with a changer to be able to add it to my iPad. It is a great place to start i guess. Recording my song cocaine cowboy.

I plug mine straight into a Focusrite Scarlet audio interface, though USB guitar leads/ adapter should work too I guess?

Andy, thank you for this very informative video! I noticed your slider to set rec levels in GragaBand is greyed out - any idea why? I have 3 different recording interfaces, one of them (Line6) can be adjusted, as far as rec levels, in GarageBand, the other two (Yamaha, Helix) cannot - the slider is also greyed out. Not sure if this is an issue with my setup, MacOS, drivers etc, or it is just interface-dependent.

@@nowayinhell91 not here. But looks like it is just the way it is. Some interfaces allow you to set gain via drivers, some don’t. I accepted it and it no longer bothers me :)

Great stuff.. BUT.. for someone watching on their phone the cursor is virtually ( no pun…) invisible.. Would have been even better if the cursor was enlarged to max.. Thanks.. I’ll have to wait and watch on the laptop..to what you’re pointing at..😩

1. Try going to another ‘track’ (you can duplicate a track if you need to. 2. If that fails, unplug and replug your guitar (the computer jack) and that will solve it.

I swear garage band downgrades the sound/mix of any instrument you plug in through an AI. I use my own custom mix composed from my Boss GT-7 pedal board through the Boss Katana 50 straight into garageband and it always sounds like muddy trash, but my tone will sound perfect when I’m playing out of the amp.

how on earth can you expect me to trust you to teach me how to use some state of the art software (garageband) to create best in class art (music), but you haven't even taken the time to learn how to pronounce the name of the software yet? its garageband, and it does not rhyme with the word carriage. IF IT DID, IT WOULD BE SPELLED LIKE CARRAIGEBAND, HURRRRR
