Hey man, I've never thought of using my Push 2 in this way. Would you say all of this is possible with Push 2? i.e. the button functions etc? Thanks

The on board audio recording capabilities are only available on the Push 3. But you can do the same setup minus some of the settings by using your audio interface and computer. Plugin your outputs from your vinyl into your inputs on your audio interface.

The user interface might be the same although I’m not sure but you won’t be able to plug in audio equipment to your push directly. You will have to plug into your audio interface instead.

Do you need a Phono preamp?

Im not sure, but if your turn table has line outputs you should be good. I don't have a "standard" vinyl player to test it out.

Yeah I'm trying to get an answer on this. At this stage I think you do need a preamp to convert phono to line (e.g. for a Techincs 1210). If you have a turntable with a line setting you won't need a preamp.
