Been recruiting since 1996, it is not a matter of passive versus active candidates. It is a matter of who you can interest in the opportunity. I have never had a client not be interested in a candidate that is in an active job search.

This is not about passive being better then active. Its about the different approach to engage passive candidate becuase they look at opportunities differently. Thanks for the comment!

@@SteveLowisz if I had a client company only interested in passive candidates, I would see it as an opportunity to educate them as to the advantages of considering both types of candidates.

@@jodydavis6238 Hi Jody I'm also a recruiter. What I struggle with is clients who give me senior roles to fill with high salaries of 50k above and these roles there is hardly active candidates to find from adverts and job boards. Do you have any tips Jody on how to put a package together to gain the attraction of a passive candidate before you gp on LinkedIn and speak to them. Would love to pay for your consulting and your advice:)
