When you're overwhelmed, taking time to relieve stress can feel daunting - but work stress expert Nina Nesdoly believes that sometimes taking a break to relieve stress is the best way forward. She invites you to relieve stress before finishing everything on your to-do list and shares three keys for incorporating stress relief into your life and work: let tension out, limit information in, and lower the barrier to entry. Nina Nesdoly is a work stress and burnout prevention speaker, researcher, and founder of Workplace Clarity. She draws on her interdisciplinary background in Organizational Behaviour (MSc Management) and Neuroscience (BSc) to teach people and organizations how to mitigate work-related stress, prevent burnout, and build resilience, and is currently doing a PhD studying work-related stress.
Since founding her training business, Workplace Clarity, Nina has worked with organizations across North America. Her insights have been featured in Buzzfeed, MarketWatch, the Financial Times, and other major media publications. Outside of work, Nina loves to skate, bike, travel, and read fantasy novels. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I'm an intermediate English learner. At first, I heard/watch without captions, I could comprehend about 60%, next, with captions, I could comprehend almost of all. Thank you, Nina, for your affable/amiable lecture. I'm being moved with your comprehensible explanation, being abstract/incomprehensible the previous talker's lecture. I realized Lecture should be that with your three key, It would be the most essential/important for viewers to be comprehensible. I appreciate not only your lecture but also your talent of speech.

I really loved this talk. It would be interesting if these could be incorporated into practice for healthcare staff as they are at the highest risk of burnout

What is stressing the society is, people like you telling them what to do and not to do. People would have been better off if they were left alone to do what they want to do.
