I bought a mec 600 jr mark 5 for 12 gauge last week and have watched a dozen videos so far and this is the best. Thanks

Hi Sam, Good video. Thank you. What you said about Cheddite primers opening up the primer pocket may have been true years ago but I don't think that applies to recent production. I could be wrong though. I have a coulple of 600Jrs as well. A good loader that will last forever. I prefer to decap my hulls as a seperate operation then when I start loading, I start from station 2. That's just me. As you know, the key to good loads is consistancy. Try to operate the machine with the same force each time you work the handle or slide the charge bar. Finally, if I make 2 errors during a loading session, usually forgetting a wad, operating the charge bar out of secquence, I stop and pack it in for the day. It means I'm not focused on what I'm doing and it's time to take a break. Cheers!

Thanks Sam, I’m considering buying a loader and have never loaded my own, you make it look easy! Thank you for the video, I subscribed so I’m interested in anything you would be able to give a beginner!, now I guess I’ll have to start the hunt for all this equipment 😮, thanks again Randy B.

Sam, I would like to see more of what you do in reloading. I have reloaded for Rifles, but never for shotguns. I figured that I could get the most out of what I have already with powder scales. I will be investing in a shotgun press. I already have reloading books coming and a couple of lead wads and tapered hulls. So yes, I would like more insight into different combinations of shotshells. I am really looking for loads that are non-toxic doves, Pheasant, Duck, Geese bird hunting

I have been reloading metalic cartridges for 13yrs now but never got into shotshell reloading since shells were dirt cheap back in the days. How much cheaper is to reload shells nowdays vs factory shells. Thanks for making this video.

I believe we came up with $7-$8 a box if we reloaded ourselves vs $10-$15 factory.

Thanks for the video. Can this reloader do buckshot?
@exclusiveoutdoors60014 ай бұрын
Yes the reloader can do buckshot but you will have to use a different style of wad. Make sure to research what is need to load for buckshot

How many times can you reload a shell before you have to throw it away?
@exclusiveoutdoors60013 ай бұрын
Well Raymond it comes down to the brand of shell. We’ve used Remington and federal shells. Remington you can reload about 5-6 times and with federal shells maybe 2-3.

I didn’t know cheddite primers fit in Remington primer pockets !?….
@exclusiveoutdoors600110 ай бұрын
Yes I believe they stretch the primer pocket out a little bit so once you use a cheddite primer you can’t go back to any other primer
@JJW37 ай бұрын
The old yellow packaging Cheddites are Euro size, but the newer blue/pink packaged primers are US sized. I've had no problem with them in various common hulls: Remington STS, Gun Club, Win Super-Targets, AA-HS, Cheddite hulls from BPI, Federal Top Gun and Gold Medal and so on.

in 2024 with the costs that have gone up making a 3" OO 1450FPS cartridge even worth it? i can buy them for .90 cents each
