Thank you so much!!! I struggled every time with mine cuz Google kept showing me this video where the guy said to insert each line a whole 3 inches before winding, and not only was it tough to shove in that day but it would never wind! 🤬 I got it on first try watching this vid 🥰❤ Thanks for making my lawn day a little less sweaty

For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. kzfaq.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself.Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.

How is it that you didn't show the weed trimmer after it uses what's loaded? Eventually, one has to know what to do when string is exhausted in the string chamber. Also, how does one use the string chamber head to expel the string out? I can see if one is on a sidewalk and it bumps cement to disfigure and wear down the head on hard cement.
@BreakFreeHomestead
@BreakFreeHomestead Жыл бұрын
Well Jerry, thanks for watching the video. This video is literally just how to load this type of string trimmer head. You might need to read the manual. Maybe you could just bump it in the dirt, or maybe cary around a block of wood and put it down every time you want to bump it. Tools wear, its part of life. 🤙

Do yourself a favor. Never buy a craftsman gas tool. It's garbage that lasts no time at all. I had an inexpensive weed Wacker that lasted years. Started up every spring with ease. The I bought a craftsman chainsaw, weedwacker and leaf blower. They all quit after a season. I had to replace that garbage with quality Husqvarna equipment. Craftsman has some kind of crazy carburetor problem and they know it but they sell you that garbage anyway. Pass by that junk on the store shelves.

Also some brands only want you to use their mixer because it’s specified to their tools and if it breaks they will cover it, and if you don’t use their oil they won’t repair it or cover it, that’s what craftsman told me.
@TangoCharlieAlpha

Ehhhhhhhh, that's a bit much, man. I've got a Craftsman trimmer and blower, and both have never let me down, season after season. If you take proper care of your equipment, then your equipment will properly take care of you. Not saying that you don't, but I'm saying that merely as a good rule of thumb. Some of the issues you are seeing these days has to do with the fuel itself. With ethanol gasoline, it doesn't have the same combustion properties, and it has a very poor shelf life. You MUST use a fuel stabilizer if you want it to emerge from it's winter slumber, and not give you fits with gumming up the works. Now that being said, "yes", I agree that the Craftsman name and quality have slipped over the years. I first saw it with their ratchets. In some cases you could buy Chinese crap for less, with seemingly better quality. But in all fairness to Craftsman, EVERYTHING has suffered from the woes of mass production and cheap materials. Remember, it's all about the revenue for these companies. They have to cut corners in order to compete, and I think they often times cut the wrong corners. And if you want that "heirloom tool" quality of yesteryear, then you better be prepared to pay handsomely for it. Warmest regards!
