How to remove a broken key in a lock!

Most people don't have fancy Locksmith tools and occasionally find they broke a key off inside their lock.
DON'T PANIC! There is a way to get it out without the stupid superglue or other gimmicks. I'm trying to use every day items you may find in your home, car, or around the house to help you fix it.
If your 1st attempt isn't successful, stay calm and try again.
Good luck and I hope this video helps someone.

Hi, Thank you for the excellent “how to do it” presentation. After wrestling with the broken key in the door at my place, I used your bent paper clip technique and eventually, I was able to get the broken section out. Needless to say, I’m very grateful for your lesson as you saved me the hassle and expense of having to call a locksmith. Thank you once again!

The biggest reason I made this video is because I have seen the gimmick videos. One says to put super glue on the head of the broken key and insert it into the lock to connect the 2 halves and then "just pull it out". I had a customer that tried that and ended up superglue the key tip inside the lock. I extract broken keys all the time and the method I use is this video (but using special tools for it). Hopefully this helps a lot of people. I would rather help everyone be able to remove their key and prevent them from from making things worse.

Thanks. Just had a key break off in the lock. Had the paper clip but no players to bend it. Used the key opening to put a slight bit of paperclip in to bend it in the 45 I needed. Did it the same fashion as you and popped out identical. Thanks again

My key has teeth or bittings on both sides so I used 2 paper clips to get the broken part out. It did take 20 minutes and needle nose pliers to do the job but I am glad I watched this video to learn this method. There is one other video just tells you to drill the lock and replace the whole set.

Thanks Mike for this great tip with paper clip,I tried everything else not super glue😏I bought new long door lock £14 installed myself easily,luckily key broke off in lock when door was open so at least I could remove door lock 👍😁I did remove broken key with nappy sefety pin same method as didn't source paper clip thanks again method 👍🤗🎉 FC
