I purchased a head unit from joying and it won't fit my car cause is 40 mm from my original stereo to the dash.and the head unit is only 20mm.is ther any way the head unit doesn't go all the way in and still be fixed?

Still relevant almost 5 years later, because the stereo in the 28 year old car I just bought is at least that old.

I'm removing my stereo from my old car to put in a new one. I've gotten the stereo itself out no problem but how do I remove the mounting cradle/mounting sleeve that's still inside the hole where the stereo was? Looks like 4 tabs are pushed down and I can't see how to get in there to push them back up again to remove the cradle. Thanks very much!

Or you can just use some thin butter knives . Had to do that before on a car I bought that had no face plate for the stereo because the owner misplaced it and I didn't want to keep the stereo since I had something better . Worked like a charm .

I have a Sony CDX-S2000 Car Stereo, but unfortunately i think my remove button got broken (it's just a small thin piece of plastic in the back of the front panel) so now i can't remove the front panel of it. Is there a way to access a supposably "hook" inside the Car Stereo body that could permit me to take the front panel again? Many thanks in advanced.

If you lose the keys, you can always smack 2 butter knives down the sides and locate the locking pins. Squeeze them like a French teenagers ass and it’ll pop right out.
