This video will show you how to completely remove the torque tube, transmission, differential, and rear subframe from your C5 or C6 Corvette (Z06 Included). This was on a manual car, but automatic is a similar process.

It's been a struggle, I dropped off my engine before Christmas and they JUST started it this week. Also finding parts has been difficult too. I'm hearing ARP hardware is backordered until the middle of this summer

@@CanyonTuned same, I waited more than a month for my crank and pistons from tsp. ended up swapping the crank and a different piston. I should get my stuff back next week so i can start putting things back together. hoping to be done by end of summer

So I have a few questions if you dont mind answering. Firstly, when I was driving at high rpms and shifted into second gear, I blew out my second gear. I noticed later that my reverse gear is also not engaging. This doesn’t add up for me. Does this indicate a blown transmission or perhaps torque tube or something else? Also, is it cheaper to rebuild or buy a used tranny? Thanks.

The stock clutch master cylinder is deemed inadequate for the application. They don't fully release the pressure plate and cause the clutch to drag between shifts. Causing excessive wear on your synchros. Personally I'd try a tick performance master cylinder (the adjustable Nascar one). It actually fixed my reverse issues after I put in a heavy clutch. But your transmission may be too far gone

how did you get the Shift rod back in the bell housing and slide everything back in ?

I'm tackling it tomorrow. The shift rod is super easy to deal with. I'm planning on assembling the Trans diff and torque tube and raising it all back in the car together

i have to remove my trans out of my 03 z06. I already removed the diff and the rear cradle. Can I remove the trans without removing the torque tube or?

I'm not following, In that situation you would just unbolt the transmission from the torque tube and leave the torque tube in place. But while you have everything apart I would inspect the torque tube bearings/bushings anyway

@@CanyonTuned The linkage that connects the shifter to the trans is what im not sure about. As in disconnecting the linkage while the Torque tube is still installed

Disconnect the linkage from the shifter from inside the car (take off the shifter boot). Then the selector rod will side through a slot in the torque tube. Watch my transmission installation video you'll see what I'm talking about

YOU TOOK THAT APART SHOULD PUT A LS3 WITH ALL THE HARNESS I HAD A C5 CONVERTED TO A C6 WITH A 6L80 FRONT TO BACK WORTH THE SWEET
