My daughter came back to the US from Iceland with presents and one of the hoodies had this tag on it. I followed the steps and not only was it easy and exact to the directions, but after cutting and removing the top, it looked identical! Thanks for posting this!!

This was the easiest and best method I found! Thank you! I paid for the shirt, but it was ordered online and I didn’t want to have to drive out to a mall to get the tag removed (defeats the purpose of shopping online!) Bonus: I got to feel just a little naughty destroying this damn tag.

This is the best way to remove these things. Bought a Christmas present for the wife. Didn't notice the tag was left on until wrapping it and by then it was too late to go back to the shop. Used a knife to cut the top off and it was more or less exactly the same inside. Great video. Thanks, saved the day.

Thanks for this. Once you showed me what was inside, I could do the job even faster, literally about 30 seconds, using a pair of cable cutting pliers I had (I know, average person probably doesn't have these right outside in their garage). This type of cutter grabs onto round objects really easy, and it cut right trough in about 2 seconds. Then just grabbed the little metal cup inside with needle nose pliers, the ball bearings fell out in my garage, never to be seen again, and it all came apart! Thanks again, very helpful!!

Thanks so much for this great video . 4 years I’ve had a jacket which TKMAXX couldn’t take the security tag off when I brought it back to them as was accidentally left on. They couldn’t remove it because it came from a different store entirely. They did offer me money back but I kept the jacket, moved and today found your video. Got home from NYC and a cashmere sweater I bought at a boutique shop had an extra tag!! I literally watched her remove tags & was really upset to get home and find this. Obviously I couldn't just hop over to the store & I didn't want to damage the sweater. I used a small hack saw and this worked quickly and perfectly! Thank you so much! Bought a souvenir from Barcelona Airport, got back to Toronto realizing the security tag was on. tried this and it actually worked. Used the tip of the knife to pop out the metal cup and the balls were under it. The pin just came out. Took less than 5 mins. Thank you.

Hello from India my Aussie mate. A B-I-G thanks. You saved me a hot, sweaty trip to the mall to get the tag removed. It's a pair trousers that came as a gift, bought over a year ago. Finally, when I received it, it had the tag, the damned tag! I had no idea which mall it was bought from, I did not have the receipt. I hated going to the mall in the horrible weather. I took it to the local tailors and they all said they cannot remove it without damaging the fabric. I didn't know what to do. Then a friend sent me this video. and Voila I just got rid of the tag. Good riddance, I say. P.S. - I loved your Aussie accent and that Aussie exuberance and enthusiasm. I love this Aussie spirit. So down to earth, friendly, non-bossy.
