How to Remove a Window or Door Glazing Bead to Replace a Panel or Glass Unit

It takes a bit of brute force so take your time and you will get there.

Very helpful thanks. This video helped me remove the external beads on my window. I have to say, mine seemed a lot harder to remove, and one won't go back properly. Also, my frame seemed to really flex as I levered the bead off - is that normal or have I knackered the window?! Thanks.

@@andrewgriffiths5161 Hi, very welcome, some beads can be tougher than others and sometimes you need to remove the seal from the opposite side to relieve the pressure on the bead, use plenty of lubricant when putting the bead back on to help ease it back on. Flex is normal 😊

Is aluminium the sameor different tool required. Mine seems flat.

@@giaccomusic aluminum can be different as they click in differently and with some profiles you need to remove the seal from the opposite side to release the pressure, feel free to drop us an email with some images to assist@dgpsuk.co.uk
