I played the m109g a while ago on sands of sinai and killed 5 tanks at 1800-2000 meters, got most of them with the first shot by just guessing range. I seem to be better at guesstimating range in bonkers than normal tanks for some reason.

This was my first and favorite bonker. It used to be really OP as an anti air before they nerfed the proxy rounds.

Found out recently the actual nerf to proxy is that its tnt load is actually about half of what the stat card says, 7.5kg HE acts like 3.25kg HE when its proxy fuse

@@Consumpter that makes sense. Probably something similar to what they did to the FV 4005 hesh before. It has over 21kg of filler. It should easily nuke anything in game, but it's still somewhat unreliable even after the recent buff.

Bonking tanks with HE is really satisfying. A couple of days ago HE'd a BVM over 1.5kms away with HE. The guy wrote FU on group chat 😂

any thin skin or open top vehicle gets strafed, and any heavy vehicle gets bombed, the only vehicle that's safe from cas is the Obj.279 (I landed an 800KG bomb underneath it and it lived somehow)

279 is extremly bomb resistant. Played my a while back amd survived 3 bomb direct bomb srikes from 1000lb bombs.

The type 75 is good and fun, but a few days ago I discovered the Type 99. Like that thing is a free to play vidar without the laser range finder, but bonking things at 7.3 with 14 kg of TNT is damm cathartic

6.3 Japan is excellent and this vehicle is a big part of the reason why. It probably is the best 155 since it's autoloaded and immune or semi-immune to .50s from the front. For a tiny period of time the m109s behaved as if they were autoloaded but now they rely on mere mortal loaders so they're definitely worse, even the A1s.

Before the Type 99 came out I would take this thing out with my shitty Type 74 G up to 10.0 every match and not having enough backups. The autoloader definitely makes this thing competitive at any BR

They will never ever add a tank only mode, and if they do it’ll split the player base, SPA/AA will become useless, RB will become like naval (DEAD) if they have a tank only mode, as much as we all hate CAS
