@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair well, unfortunately the fix didn't work. I wasn't able to check the wiring like you did in the video because I don't have the tool (that screw driver with the light on it??) Can you tell me what the name is of that tool, and how exactly you are using it in this repair? Would that be the logical next thing to check to fix this problem? I was really hoping switching out the 2 components was going to do it...

@@theridlers9446 I'm sorry that the fix didn't work, the tool I used to check the wiring was an incandescent test light, you can get it from your local parts store for under 20$ , can you tell me what didn't work? did you replace the Integrity motor and it's ORing?

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I did the filter and the motor...the motor didn't come with a new Oring so I used the one that was already there. I finally went to the gas station and the pump shuts off, same as before. I can drizzle gas in but it takes a long time ;( I'll get the incandescent test light on line. Can you tell me how/where you hooked that up to?

@@theridlers9446 I used a long set of jumper cables coming from the battery to test the ground wire, test light connected to battery positive... make sure you don't have a pinched EVAP tube between the tank and canister, I've seen pinched tube once

Okay so I installed the new part and made sure everything was connected. I then cycled the vehicle on and back off again in case the computer needed to recognize the new part in some way (not sure if this is necessary). After this I tried putting gas in the vehicle via a gas can but no luck, the keep would take about 1/3 a gallon of gas and then would not take anymore. Does the car need to be driven or anything for the computer to properly recognize the part or was the quick test I did sufficient to call it? Thanks for any feedback!

@@paintbucket5168 if you replaced the filter and the integrity motor, and it's still doing that, you should have a pro mechanic look at it for you, you could have a pinched evap tube or a clogged tube inside the tank... Good luck

Coffee Grinder Check the evap tubes and make sure you don't have a clogged tube! you could also have a stuck closed purge solenoid, is the check engine light on?

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I replaced the vapor recirculation fuel tube # 68194161AB and also blew a little compressed air through the line where the white connector connects. All I know is it works now ! Just thought I would let you know, thank you!

MrYukon04 what do you mean by, it dies after filling up with gas, does your engine shut off after fueling or the gas pump nozzle at the gas station kicks off as soon as you start pump gas?if your engine is hard to start after filling up your gas tank, you have another problem!

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair no the customer said it dies after filling up at the gas station about 2 miles down the road. I changed the purge valve up front and I think that fixed it. I had a Cadillac do the same thing but he's was just hard to start after filling up. Once I changed that it was fine again. The Jeep tho was a little different getting the p0456 small leak detection code. So that's why it directed me the ldp on the charcoal canister. They say it's just the o ring that goes bad

MrYukon04 yeah that's true a bad O ring would trigger the p0456 code on these jeepsand I had a Nissan with the symptom you explained hard to start after fueling, the issue was the purge valve, just like you said.... unfortunately I didn't have time to film it

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair yeah only thing about this video was you didn't explain what the symptoms were in this case. But very informative. and if you were changing just the o-ring you wouldn't have to take the whole canister but I see you change the filter also so

MrYukon04 I did talk about the symptom at the beginning of the video, the fuel nozzle at the gas station was kicking off while the fuel tank was still empty and it wasn't taking any fuel... it was acting as if the fuel tank was full. that's what the Customer was experiencing...
