Dometic RV Absortion Refrigerator Removal.
This video covers how to remove your RV fridge.
I've tried to cover every step, including:
-- Disconnecting Fridge power and gas
-- Removing the screws at back and front that hold the fridge in place.

I salute you. I thank you. Yeah, you make it look easy. But your video is Clear and concise . You may be younger than me but you remind me of my Dad. No nonsense til the job was done. Wow. I went through all the steps and I sure wish my fridge would just pull out like you just demonstrated. Hence my need to research on KZfaq and I saw your wonderful video. My fridge is exactly like the one you have here. Wish me luck tomorrow when I try this again. Update the next day: Ooops. I discovered a screw that I didn't see before that I had not removed. It pulled right out! Thank you again!

How much would you estimate it weighs?

@@littlet-rex8839 Perhaps 50-60 lbs perhaps. Hard to judge but I'm guessing. My legs did most of the lifting and it was easier to lift after taking off the door. That way I just put my hands on the underside of the top and lifted it out. My arms are not that muscular but my legs are. It's out!

I did install a new fridge in the RV. 12V Ever Chill from RecPro. It’s not the exact dimensions but I use the extra space to put other items out of the way. Dust pan Broom etc. I also installed 12V to 110V converter. When the power goes out I unplug the cord from the 110 outlet and plug it into the Jackery. I have not done anything with the propane line. However, it is not hooked up at this time so I'm not worried about it. A friend who happens to be an A/C or HVAC licensed told me that he would just crimp it or put a stopper at the open end of the line. But don't take that as gospel. I would ask a few HVAC pros what they would do.

Hi.. i just want to ask Sir if you did not do anything with your gas line, does it mean that you are not turning ON your propane tank anymore for you to be able to use your stove/oven? Thank you

Best self help video I've ever seen. I have the same unit in a well preserved 2007 FF. I went to the trailer last week to a dead frig and the aroma of ammonia :(. I know what and how to do it. Thanks.

@GPDIY UPDATE.. New aftermarket fridge from Sam's club installed , with room a pure water , 5 gallon distribution unit. Also an ice maker to boot . Those original double wide fridges leave room for so many options. Thanks again bro. Seriously

The yellow & white wire in the back, are those 12v? Are they powered from the rv battery, or the 12v supply from the vehicle connection?

Just done this myself and it fell on my left foot. Luckily it wasn't too hard to break anything. Now i have to wait to get someone to help me bring it out the door because the slide out doesn't work and i can't find the manual way to extend it.

Hello, at 3:57, those two metal bracket like where the screw goes in the hole are cut off at the base. Any suggestion for repair and tighten?

I'm planning to do this in the next few days and replacing it with a residential fridge. I will need to cap off the gas line and looks like I will need a 3/8 inch male end cap.. Can anyone confirm that this is correct.

Can you remove a camper refrigerator and replace it with a regular refrigerator I don't like mine.. our camper is on our property and won't be moved so the need for gas or battery isn't necessary. I just want a regular fridge in there.

That’s exactly what I’m going to do, I’m going to replace it with a Magic Chef 10.1cu, all you gotta do is all little bit of trim work on the edges.
