Watched this video, 10-15 minutes later everything works again. I even used the link in the description to get the part. It is a little louder than the OEM part but I really don’t care. I’ll just turn my music up a little louder. Thanks man.

This may not have the world best production values, but the information is spot on. Thanks for sharing this helpful information. I have the ability to remove dead mouse bodies from my fan. :-)

Man I’m so happy that when other people have these problems they just replace the blower motor and it just works for them. I’m really happy that’s how it works for some people. I replaced the blower motor on mine a couple days ago and I was sooooo stupid for thinking it would work. How dumb was I to think it would be as simple as doing what everyone else is doing and expect the same result. I’m 1000% certain the problem with mine is going to be whatever is the most expensive. So let’s see…. I’d say I think the problem is going to be a broken wire somewhere between the blower motor and the fuse box or whatever it goes to. That’d probably be the most expensive thing. I’m also certain that no matter where I take it into they’ll say they’ve never seen this problem before and that I’m the first person in history to have this particular problem.. okay I’m done with my pity party now.. I’m just upset because I genuinely thought it would be this simple. I didn’t know I’d have to get tundra scientist to unravel the mystery of why I have no blower motor. At least it’s not a necessity like it’s going to be in the winter. By the winter it’s an absolute must.

If you have a multimeter. Test for 12 volt DC at the connector at blower motor. If there is NO Voltage. Check for blown fuse or faulty blower motor relay.

Hey Sartin! You're our hero....it worked. We got our replacement from Auto Zone and the motor was a little heavier than we expected it to be. It's not quite as easy as you made it look, but after about a half hour, we had it. The Auto Zone replacement is a little noisy, but the motor is blowing harder than the old one ever did. Life is a lot better. We got the motor for $125.00 and probably saved $200.00 in labor. Ours is a 2011 Toyota Tundra 4.6L that we bought a couple of years ago. Keep the videos coming and thanks!

Thank you a thousand times over. My ac stopped in the middle of summer in New Mexico and of course, my warranty had expired by about 600 miles over. Watched this, installed new in about 20 minutes and works better than did before. AutoZone had the blower in stock with a lifetime warranty so if I need to change it again, won’t take as long and next time it will be free. Thanks again.

Anyone know the part number or name for that trim piece that covers up that blower motor area that gets removed first...having a hell of a time finding it

The air speed in mine is great, still feels brand new. However, mine has recently developed the same "sound" as your original motor. Sounds almost like putting a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel. Do you think that means it's the beginning of the end, or if I took out, there would be a way to remedy that? Maybe some grease or lubricant... or maybe there's a sticker that's fallen onto the white fan?
@sartingarage8045
@sartingarage8045 11 ай бұрын
@PixelRubble I would remove the blower motor. Check for Debris, Napkins , Leafs and such get sucked up into the fan and will cause a noise. Also check and replace your Cabin Filter if Dirty. If none of this is an issue, Then yeah it probably won't be long before Blower Motor needs replaced

Going to try this today. Do you recommend checking the voltage before ordering the blower motor? Great video.
@sartingarage8045
@sartingarage8045 4 ай бұрын
@MarysHusband You can check the voltage. But the blower motor resistor is what controls the blower motor. There will be voltage there all the time unless blown fuse or relay. But checking the voltage would let you know if there is a fuse blown or bad relay There would be no Voltage

So when it’s making noise, is it time to replace? Currently having noise problem on my 2012 tundra.
@sartingarage8045
@sartingarage8045 Ай бұрын
@lamerariataaaaa Not necessarily You may have sucked something in your fan causing the noise. I would remove the fan and check for that before I ordered new Blower Motor. And check and Replace Cabin Filter also Links to all this in Description

Mine is going bad I guess I have to hit the bottom of the motor to make it come on sometimes and sometimes it’s going up and down on the speed I’m wondering if it was a resistor but you said you had to hit your to make it come on also
@sartingarage8045
@sartingarage8045 Жыл бұрын
@JohnWaid6Plus Yeah your blower is going bad The resistor is made in the blower motor assy. Don't think you can buy resistor separately The blower motor that I bought is still working great also Don't forget to replace Cabin Filter if it needs it

The problem I have is my 2010 tundra has a knee airbag on the passenger side. Does anyone know how to access the blower motor with the knee airbag in front of it?
@sartingarage8045
@sartingarage8045 10 ай бұрын
This is also a 2010 and has the knee Air Bag. The piece that comes off is under the Dash. The Airbag stays in place doesn't need to come off.
