Thanks for showing this. I have the "first" type of battery. First build I've ever done and was pretty disheartened when nothing but some lights in the case came on. Unplugged everything, took out the battery and let it sit for a few minutes. Put it back in and plugged in the power. It worked! Thanks again !

Thank you I needed help to remove it so I could reset motherboard bios settings I accidentally set a ram speed to high and then my pc wasn't turning on now it works so thank you i can confirm that it resets bios settings

I was upgrading my ram (16 to 32g ddr4, same brand, same spec from 2x8 to 4x8g) and got stuck with this black screen (no signal) After I’ve done what you recommend with the cmos, I finally was able to boot with DisplayPort on my gpu and then entered UEFI / Bios and set XMP to profil 1 (it was disabled) Thank you a bunch !!!! I am messing with a weird dual amd gfx setup i got for cheap used, found dual gfx cards has issues with bios on startup and this was my only way to fix it! :D

My pc was pretty much dead. I made it worse lol. Tried this and now the pc wont go beyond lighting up and waving it's fans briefly. Before it gave me a blank screen but was at least reacting briefly to the keyboard. Well next attempt is just taking everything out cleaning the dust and see if I remember where everything goes back. (Never took apart a pc before but it's just decoration at this point anyway)

Hi just curious. Would this fix the signal not finding? I used my pc not even 2 days ago and it worked perfectly fine. I replaced my ram sticks about 2 months ago and its been working amazing, no issues but everything is turning on, my pc runs, my mouse, and keyboard, its just the monitor not finding that signal. Actually whenever I'm turning my pc on it shows a screen where it'll be like gigabyte ultra durable and below that something like press del for bios etc etc for a few seconds and then comes windows login screen. But now whenever i start my pc first the screen remains black for 15-20 seconds and straight away shows windows login screen i cant see that bios screen which I was seeing before and also I can't access my bios right now but I can use my windows as usual please help me Im using gigabyte H310M S2 2.0 any help is appreciable sorry for my bad english as english is not my first language

Maybe you could pin this if possible. Look heres what I did after overclock made monitor go black and keyboard mouse stopped working Bios reset by clear CMOS but pc wont start. I did this clear cmos by JBAT1 with screwdriver by placing screwdriver and linking 2 nodes. Again pulled out battery according to YT. Then moved my 2 rams on next tries, 4 slots so changed 1rst ram position then changed 2nd ram position then tried single ram. Then at last changed first ram and out 2nd ram in original position at start and put screwdriver in JBAT1 but didnt connect 2 nodes. I dont know if last step fixed it, my gpu losened and gave white motherboard light but it auto resolved. Msi auto ram overclock did all this, overclocking wasnt this pain prev generations...
