If you're replacing the cup holder because the front plate is broken or because any of the other mechanisms are broken. You probably can save a few steps by jamming a flat head screw driver in there. Break the cup holder and pull it out with pliers. Watch the video for the clip locations. Also notice there is a bottom "clip" as well. I didn't need to remove the whole decorative trim just the upper part above the center controls. Which came off pretty easily. Also didn't need to remove the stereo and managed not to do any damage to the trim. Thanks for the video.

Great video. Question, what does the electrical connector behind the cup holder do? I wouldn't have expected that to be there.

Actually a very good question. I've never questioned it actually!! Without checking, I assume the logo on the front lights up red when headlights are on? If I'm correct (?) then that is what the power would be needed for.

It's for the light. The front lights up with the rest of the dash.

Hi didn't have to take the stereo out when replacing cup holder. Just lift it up a bit while pulling it out ..

Hi there! Yes, sorry forgot to add the text link. Just added that now (video has only been live 2 hours or so)... We put on the Annotation pop-up link, but you only see that (currently) on desktop/laptop PC's (not an mobile/Android devices). But both text links and annotation links now working. Any tips on jamming climate control my B5 A4 if you press the eco or rear screen buttons will jam the panel controls until it feels like being normal

Hey there! Hmmm... That's a good question. Well, some have the cup holder on the right hand side rather than left as on this car. Maybe you could put there the blanking buttons or something along those lines. Unless there is an aftermarket unit that can be fitted into that space... Best of luck! can you make an video on how to remove the seatbelt system for the driver seat? the cover is starting to come out for some reason and the belt doesnt get in properly, i need to push it by hand into it. i would like to fix it cause its pretty anoying to deal with it every time. recently, the passenger seatbelt started to retract slower, but its still tine. i have an a4 b7 from 2008 with white/yellowish interior. Thanks in advance. a commentary response would be also welcomed.

That's a tricky one to advise one. Really the unit should be stripped down and fixed and rebuilt. You'll only know what's wrong once you open it up. As it's a seatbelt you don't want it failing in the case of an accident, so best to get that fixed ASAP. Be sure to support us: Please subscribe to our KZfaq channel and spread the word!

Where can I buy replacement parts for these items that you remove on your channel. I have a 2002 Audi A4 Quatro and some of the placement is different in my car.

Hey there... You can buy replacement parts new from Audi, or easily used on eBay if you want to get them cheaper :-) Yes, on the B6/B7 the selection of components within this top row of the centre console does vary. For example, on my personal car I do not have the coin/card tray, but instead have three buttons there: parking sensor button, passenger airbag light, and one blank button. Whereas this car in the video did not have parking sensors, so instead has a coin/card tray rather than lots of blank buttons. That said, the cup holder is usually the same :-)

Not anything to do with this video I took out radio and cointray as per instructions to look for a airbag connector for the airbag deactivation illumination switch. I couldn't see it anywhere any ideas where else it could be ? My car is a 8ec A4 DTM quattro. Any help would be appreciated
