@@Jomuerudoumandanberarumino I did before but I used a lubricant to avoid that. You need to remove some parts to apply the lubricant accurately for it to work. Any silicone based lubricant will do. If you want it cheap, a minute amount of mineral oil will do. Always apply the lubricant accurately at the joints of the headphone.

@@kakiayam60 yes, its mainly because of the lock and key mechanism it has to attach to the headphones

You can also try other earpads without the attachment. Use the old earpad attachment and combine it with the new earpads. It will need some work but at least you get your preferred earpads than the stock one

Good day Rezie, the dimensions for Height should not be less than 90 and the Width not less than 80. As long as the clips that are glued to the earpad are W820NB compatible.

I guess it would be a wire connection issue. In long term usage the copper wires inside may snap. This is prevalent in headphones that can be flipped from one side to another. In order to find the wire problem. You need an electrical meter/ tester. Open up your headphone. Use the continuity setting and place the red and black testing probles on the wires on each end, of the headphone side that has the problem. ( If you dont know how. Just search how to use continuity for an electrical tester. There are a lot of helpful videos.) Once you are able to locate the damaged wire. You need to buy the same type of wire and solder it like the damaged wire( how to solder is also on KZfaq). And now its fixed. Or if you don't have time or skills. Just use the warranty or go to your local electrical repair shop. A trusted one. Some shops don't have quality repairs and have sloppy soldering skills.

Good day Ricardo, you should not hear any static when ANC / Ambient is on. If you do it is faulty and need to be replaced using your warranty. If you have used those 2 features in a quiet room and still have the static Im sure its faulty. I had that issue with my soundcore earbuds. Used my warranty to get a new one.

Hello, the Edifier ear pads have its own anchor mechanism. If you buy a different one and place the anchor mechanism in your new ear pads it should work.

Atm i have no info of W820nb plus earpad dimensions. In their website there is a change in dimensions (not indicating the earpads)for W820nb plus. So maybe the earpads are different

Yes, I have a video for that. It includes how to open up the Edifier W820nb. The band foam has an adhesive like a double sided tape on it.

Im not sure if it is i have not bought that one yet, if you can try the same process and it succeeds well for you.

The lock is like a L shape going outwards. When you feel the frame just below the foam. You need to press that going out and then upwards towards you and you will hear a pop. Best to start below or above.

If it's fully charged and it still does not turn on. It may be the wiring where the head set can turn got severed. That's the flaw of these types of head sets.

If you still have warranty better use that. But if none, you can start assessment by using a digital multimeter set to continuity. You need to open the headset completely to assess the wire problems.

There is also a possibility of a battery problem caused by faulty battery or overcharge that caused damage. I can solve the problem if i was able to physically assess it and parts are available. If the concern is that changing the pads made the head set not work. It does not. No wiring is near the pads.

Good day, yeah you will feel that when it is your first time. I suggest you change the headphones pads when it has shown deterioration. That way you can rip off the foam and its easier for you to remove it. Also no its not glued. Additional proof that it is not glued is there are w820 NB headphones pads on the market. It is for sale because it can be removed and changed from your headphones. Synthetic leather does take long to deteriorate with all that gamer's sweat haha

@@Chromedpotato Thank you for your time and this video. I assume my problem is no longer relevant. The thing is I just recieved the new pads and they came with this plastic frame. So it shouldnt be a problem even if you will damage the pads while tearing them off.
