We have been wondering how we could get additional track for an Excel stair lift. The stair lift we have has been installed twice and the track was cut to fit each install.

Is there a way to take an Excel lift out of one stairway and install in a shorter one? Can you cut the rail?

Thank you for this video. Gives me an idea how to remove our acorn stairlift. Need it on a different set of stairs now. Acorn will charge us $600 to remove and install. (I DONT THINK SO!) I'll figure it out. Voids the warranty but I'm not worried about that.

I just purchased two used Harmar SL600 chair lifts ..... when the person took them off the stairs the carriage was still attached to one of the tracks..... I cannot understand how to get the carriage off the track. It needs to come off in order to reinstall in my home.... any ideas as to how it can be removed (taken off) the track?

cattail3 first need remove upper cover plate it’s attached with four screws than limit plate on top of rail it’s attached by small set screw in middle . Than remove seat and use black install button move base all the way up .

Thank you for your post. Just removed a stair lift. Stair lift is 25 years old so not really sellable. But it came out sweetly

I have just installed a used Excel chair lift. It runs, but I can't seem to get the recharger to work. I keep getting beeps. When I unhooked the two leads from the power cord, i was in a hurry, and failed to note where they needed to hook up again. Can anyone help me get the leads to the right hookup? thank you

Hi. You need check if batteries charging, place voltmitter probes in positive and negative terminal each batterie or both (24v ) You should see voltage claim up :25, 25.5 , 26, ... 27v if voltage stay on same level 25 or 26 your charger not working properly . But before do that
