A quick tip on how to remove flicker from things like lights in your video. I show you how to do this in FCPX, but it should work in any NLE.

That's a pretty neat trick my friend. Thank you. Of course you have to be careful with it as it also creates a phase like effect on the rest of the video. But it is a solution for the most part in certain situations. Thanks!

Yeah, I would use the blade tool to ensure that I am applying this only to the section of the video that requires it.

May have to try this with videos of KONE lifts which have terrible issues with flicker from the lights with my iPhone now allowing 50fps to match the refresh rates of the lights in the lift

seems to only work for slow motion clips

How do you move the clip one frame before if it is the first the clip in the video??
@LeeHerbet3 жыл бұрын
As long as you've got at least one frame at the start or the end. You can move using the . or , keys

i get motion blur when doing this, any way to fix it?
@LeeHerbet Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if it would work, but try move the top clip in the other direction. So if you've moved it one frame to the left, move it one frame to the right instead.

Trying to remove very slight flicker from an LED light in my shot, this didn't work at all.
@LeeHerbet2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ratt, sorry to hear that. As I said in the video, unfortunately this won't work with every clip.
@livinginlabuga2 жыл бұрын
What if u did that and the flicker is still there?
@LeeHerbet2 жыл бұрын
There are a few anti flicker plugins that you can get that may work. Also, sometimes it just can’t be fixed.

Doesn't work for me unfortunately, i dnt know what am doing wrong. Am using fcpx 10.5. Any help please..
@LeeHerbet3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work, it depends on the footage and why the flicker is occurring.
@khanstudioz9543 Жыл бұрын
@@LeeHerbet for me, if u have slo mo footage, it will not work, maybe try do this without slo motion and then export at a higher fps and thens slow it down later

I get a ghost like effect when doing this!! why?
@LeeHerbet2 жыл бұрын
Check if you have perhaps not set the opacity of the second clip to 50% or maybe you've moved it more than one frame out of sync.
@marciomoreno54872 жыл бұрын
@@LeeHerbet I double checked... 1frame and opacity at 50% :/
@LeeHerbet2 жыл бұрын
@@marciomoreno5487 Sorry Marcio, then I don't know why. I will point out that this doesn't always work. It does depend on the footage. So it may be that with the footage you're using this isn't going to work.

You dont even tell what app you using
@LeeHerbet Жыл бұрын
That shouldn't matter. This technique should work no matter what NLE you're using.
