Does it matter how long the stains have been on the clothes? I have some shirts that have had stains in them for years and I don’t wear the shirts anymore because of that, but I didn’t have the heart to throw the shirts away because I like them so much. If the stains have been on the shirts for a while, Can they still be removed?

@@AtlasBookkeeping some of ny clothes had stains for about 4 months. But i had to soak it for longer time. Success depends on the severity. If the stain is too much, it will be difficult.

I’ve been feeling sorry for myself because I don’t have many clothes and suddenly noticed deodorant stains in most of them. If you don’t know if you want to take the risk take it this helps a lot I tried it on my off white hoodie just don’t let it sit for a whole hour I did it for 10 minutes and it worked fine :) and don’t rub the soap after you apply the vinegar that was my only issue

@@ArtandLes of course man btw if you have a large heavy hoodie like mine using a large see through garbage bag works just as good and easy to transport it to the shower for a rinse :) I also put mine in the wash to spread the solution around the entire hoodie

Thank you so much. The rinsing water temp doesn't matter too much. It really depends. Warm water is great in removing germs and heavy soil. But based on our research cold water is good for clothes. It will less likely to shrink or fade and ruin clothes. Cold water also reduce wrinkles. Cold water is best also for clothes that bleed.

This saved my shirt! Now what if you had to do this on multiple shirts, would you wash it together or separate? Also can you make the formula in the bottle and still make it work?

We're glad it helps. 😊 It is better to wash clothes separately as some clothes may bleed color. We also dont advise mixing all the ingredients in one bottle.

Oh I let my shirt dry and there’s still as stain on there, do I do it again? I let it soak for 1 hour, how many hours did you let your shirts soak with the formula?

Oh sad to hear this. Some stains are really hard to remove completely. Not all stains can be removed by this formula. You may repeat the process if you like and letting it soak for more than 8 hours and use a brush to brush the formula into the affected area. But warning, there is a risk that it may fade your textile color depending on its quality.

*Written instructions* #1 cold water and squeeze out #2 pour hydrogen peroxide over area and scrub for a few mins on both arm pits #3 pour (i used dawn soap) over area and scrub on both sides for a few mins #4 pour baked soda over area on both sides and scrub for a few mins #5 i put the shirt sleeves part in bathrooms sink with a stopper in, and pour white vinegar over the arm pits #6 Let set few hours or over night #7 Rinse with cold water and then (if you have a washer and dryer, wash them) Warning: foam could flow over your sink 😬 almost happened to me. Foam is normal, i will go down after a few mins

I appreciate this video, my poor husband's work shirts have very hard Deodorant residue and the fabric is wrinkled, it almost looks like mold, im so embarrased cuz its so gross, but didn't know what to use.. Cuz plain detergent wasn't cutting it. Thank you for sharing.

Ohhh that is hard to remove. Try using deodorants without aluminum. It will prevent deo buildups. I hope this solution can still work on your severe build ups.

Finally something that truly works, this is awesome!! Thanks for uploading! Unfortunately on my coloured shirts I had quite a bit of colour loss even when leaving it on for only a few minutes. Can I ask which concentration of H2O2 and what type of vinegar you use? Maybe my mixture was too strong.

It really depends on the quality of your shirt.. Some textile bleeds color. Try using weaker concentrate hydrogen peroxide.. I forgot which one i used. For the vinegar, i think you can experiment which brand is weaker according to your taste 😊 Thanks for watching. Glad it helps 👍👍👍

Yes it can soften the fabric and remove stains. But it sometimes depends on the severity of the buildups and the quality of the fabric of your shirt. Some buildups are really hard to remove even with several tries. Goodluck on your shirts. We hope you can save it 👍

I did this but got no results unfrotunately. Which side of the t-shirt should I do? The largest deodorant stains are from the inside but it's the outside that's visible too and that what's ruining it for me when wearing the t-shirt... So, I tried doing this on the outside side.

Sad to say it did not work. It depends on the severity of the buildup. Try to concentrate scrubbing and soaking the inside first. I recommend you try soaking it longer. But there is a risk of textile fading depending on the quality of the cloth

Sorry to hear that. It means that the deo buildups were severe and damaged the color of the clothes underneath. This solution can help lift up and remove the buildups but it cannot restore faded colors.

Just use baking soda OR vinegar. Not both. Very Common misconception that they’re supposed to be used together when all they do is neutralize each other

No, they can be used together. The note worth taking is do not use them in exact quantities.. To become more acidic or base. Their combination produces carbon dioxide that helps lift up dirt from the clothes. That's why in practical use, you can see that it works better than vinegar or baking soda alone. 😊👍

This whole set up worked for some nasty ass polyester and nylon security uniform shirts that I was given which didn't respond to basic laundering to get rid of heavy arm pit odors and caked on deodorant and antiperspirants. I used a little bit of elbow grease and rubbed and worked the mix to the armpit areas and allowed the mix to stay in soaking for a long period of time before rinsing with warm water then laundering. Sufficed it to say. It worked. I personally recommend Dawn detergent. It worked great.

The effectiveness has differenf factors 1. Strength of hydrogen peroxide 2. Strength of the vinegar 3. How long was the stain 4. How much buildup 5. Quality of the fabric 6. Soaking time You may experiment and see what works best for you. Some deodorants are notorious in making deo buildups and damaging clothes. I suggest you get a deo without the aluminum content.

We used a 6% solution that we bought in our local pharmacy. Based on our research, in pharmacies, you can find concentrations from 3 to 9 percent. There are higher concentrations used for bleaching textiles in industries but we are not sure where you can buy it or if it is better. You may want to experiment if you want to.

Yes. But white tshirt may be harder to ckean because buildups create yellowish lines. It all depends on the severity of the buildup and the quality of the fabric. We noticed that it works better on dark colored clothing.

Yes. You can do it again.. Some stains are very stubborn and very hard to remove. You can apply on both side. It really depends on the quality of the shirt's fabric. Some fabric bleeds color every wash and can result to fading.

Wouldn't the hydrogen peroxide whiten the clothes though? I have an almost exclusively black wardrobe with this problem and I'm worried I'm going to exchange a white deodorant stain for a hydrogen peroxide bleached white stain.

Actually, the hydrogen peroxide's purpose is to loosen and lift the stain from the fabric. The vinegar will likely bleach your shirt but depends on the quality of the fabric. As you can see, ny shirt is black and the color was fine after the wash.

Sad to hear that. It works for many including me as seen on the video. Maybe the quality of the shirt is not good and bleed out. It also depends on the severity of the stain. Or the dishwashing liquid is not good.

Oh... Maybe the color bleeded. The quality of the shirt is also a factor. So sorry this formula did not work out for your shirt. It is a trial and error method. Sometimes it doesn't work due to severity and quality fo shirt.. Also, the duration of application also has effect. About the dishwashing liquid, pick something that cleans grease easily

If your dryer is enough to dry your clothes completely, there's no need to hang it. 😊 Most dryers cannot completely dry your clothes so you still need to hang it for a while to completely dry. 😊

It really depends on the quality of prints and the fabric.. It is usually safe but vinegar is actually acid and can affect low quality prints.

Hi.. We used 6% concentrate. But there are stronger concentrate we saw on pharmacies like 9%. There is also a more lesser at about 3%.

Others use only vinegar and baking soda. It depends on the severity if the stain and buildups. Hydrogen peroxide is usually available in pharmacies. Have you tried asking them?

Hi. We used 6%. We bought it in a local pharmacy. You can buy concentrations of 3% to 9%. You may want to experiment which concentration is best for your stain.

Yes. It can still be effective. Vinrgar and baking soda is famous for removing stains. But hydrogen peroxide is a great help in softening the build up and also used as effective stain remover. You may experiment as you like. Some stains can be stubborn and hard to remove.

We don't know what can substitute hydrogen perixide. But some use baking soda and vinegar only and it works. It depends on the severity of the stain and deodorant buildup.

Your results will vary greatly (or not work at all) depending on the type of deodorant you are fighting. For example, this doesn’t touch Mitchum triple defense antiperspirant& deodorant.

Try slowly pouring boiling water on the armpit stains and letting it sit for about 5-10 mins first to help "melt" the hard stain first. Pour off the water and then proceed with the mixture as described in the above video.

Actually it depends on the severiyy of the deodorant build up. It is usually effective after 1 hour.. But some may take overnight but may have a risk of color fading depending on the quality of the fabric . If it doesnt remove overnight, maybe it's time to say goodbye to you favorite shirt 😢

It really depends on the quality of the fabric.. Some clothes bleed color and can affect color. Some buildups are also too much to remove and causes damag even before removal. But in normal quality shirts like the one we used, i think there will be no problem.

Nylon clothing should be washed with care. You should never use chlorine bleach on them. We never tried the solution on nylon but we think this is a little bit to hard for nylon. It may work with nylon but have a risk of damaging the color or fabric especially if used in high concentration. Use it at your own risk.

I think baking soda is an important ingredient. Usually stain removal ingredients are baking soda and vinegar. Removing the baking soda may greatly affect effectiveness.

I know another way to get rid of armpit stains. First you spread baking soda on the armpit stain, then oxi clean, you toss it in the small washer and you set the washer on a hand wash setting. The big washer I have to experiment or ask my mom about. I took a look at my one blouse and it got most of the armpit stains out.
