Great demo, I have a brand new 8550 that I put gray sublime ink in my photo black spot so I gotta remove it. As is my black prints brown. The so very much

You can try inserting the syringe in the bottom of the cartridge instead of pulling the hose out. It will be less mess and the size of the syringe tip are the exact diameter of the Epson print head cartridge tip in the bottom. I have done a lot of Epson printhead cleaning in past. Just my opinion, I have successfully done it before too.

Great video, thanks for taking the time to show us how to empty and change the Ink. I did follow along all the steps, but now my ET-8550 is not printing. I tried the purge file, I tried the nozzle and head cleaning, and still nothing. Any suggestions? I am about to throw the towel 🤯🤯😵‍💫 I appreciate any help in advance 🙏

Until all the ink is drain and you don't have to worry about doing the dampers since you don't have the tubbing. I will make a new updated tutorial.

So I have the 8500 and put my gray and black in the wrong spot so I followed this and got the gray out but I can get the black to come out I pull and it’s very hard trying to suck the plunger back in but no matter how hard or much I pull it doesn’t come out. Any advise on what I’m doing wrong?

Make sure to open the cap for the ink tank you are trying to emptied. It gives it better flow. It can be a little stubborn. You can try pulling the syringe back and wait for the pressure to fill it automatically.

I would just add some of my new ink to the first bottom line of the tanks. Than print about 20 purge files and that should be fine. Make sure to buy extra ink. Check out DATINKZPOPPIN.com

I did this, removing inks and refilled with eco solvent ink but the blacks, grey, cyan does not print, yellow barely prints. I took apart the heads and cleaned them as well as the cartridges. What went wrong? Now I am returning the printer for replacement

@@DatInkzPoppin yes, i did it last night, waited till morning and still no color. So i tried another head and nozzle cleaning, still no color, popped out the heads and cleaned them, put everything back, still only magenta is comning out smooth. Im able to return the printer, so is it better to just fill the printer when its fresh out the box so theres no issues?

@rebeccajenkins2834 nope, I gave up it took too much time. If you can return your printer, do it. Otherwise you'll have to keep pushing the cleaning solution through the lines until all the old ink is flushed out. These printers are not made for eco solvent ink. You can use pigment instead. I got a Canon pigment ink printer in the end and another epson ecotank cheap on sale and filled it with pigment ink

What’s the difference between et 8550 & 8500 ???

The main difference between the two is that the ET-8550 is a wide-format printer that can print up to 13" x 19" in size. The ET-8500 is not. The largest paper that can be used on the ET-8500 is 8.5" x 14". Those are the only differences.

@tanyamccoy5708 Try pulling ink through the lines for each until some enter the syringes. Then try printing again, and if that doesn't work, do one more power cleaning and let sit for 12 hours.
