I’m assuming you’re using heat as you scrape the glass off. How much heat can be safely applied without damaging internal components?

Depends on the tech... but most techs used around 300 degrees celcuis - hot air station, with a small nozzle or bent nozzle and use small bursts of heat over the phone as the glass is being removed.

Good to use heat rather then laser as laser might damage the steel inside the phone,though laser is the faster option but end process too similar to heating too,one still need to peel the metal despite using laser

To replace the glass, it is best to remove the motherboard and battery before replacing, otherwise it may cause broken glass to seep into the interior from the seam of the wireless charging coil, and over time (maybe several months to half a year) may cause the battery to swell or occur. Danger.
