I like your attitude towards creativity and experimenting! I need to hear it regularly, because I tend to obsess on trying to make my kits just like the box art (although I do paint them). You help me relax and take problems in stride, making them part of the fun of building.

This actually helped me improve my nub removal. I made at least 5 MG kits but I'm always let down to see the nub marks in sight, mostly on darker plastics like the Jesta Cannon. But every kit I had left over before these current times....I made major improvements into polishing up my kits better with no nubs insight

This was really helpful, in a week I'll be getting a Kotobukiya HMM Command Wolf, and will be doing my own custom paint theme for it, and have had trouble with nub marks in my other models. I was hoping to find a video and this one so far was the most to the point. I'm looking forward to putting these techniques to work!

When you're gonna do a full paint you really don't need to completely removed the nubs even if there's a stress mark since they'll gonna be covered by paint. As long as you cut them perfectly flat with the surrounding surface you're fine. Also saves you enormous time on completing your kit. But if your just gonna do a straight build/minor color correction then it's highly recommended you completely remove them.

So Jiatin is your name. Mines Dustin, hahaha, pretty awesome to learn you are named with the one of the most common way I tend to be called. Anyways, back on track. Your way is a little more time consuming but I prefer it a lot more than the method shown by others. It is much more meticulous yet it means less or slightly less steps if done right. It is much viable and a better way to do for beginners and those that cannot access to more extensive yet more expensive ways. Not only that, atleast now doing the other methods now becomes more of an in case I mess up thing to do. Thanks Studio G, this is what I was actually looking for.

quick tip for all gunpla builders: get your elbow fixed on the table and flick your wrist to sand rather than using the whole arm, it’s much faster, leaves less unwanted scratches and your arm wont be as weary after a long build. Damn, I recently got into gunpla building, just got some exacto knives, and it seems my skill of cutting numb marks was better when I used the regular box cutter. It was more smooth and easier to use. With the exacto knives (I have the same shapped blade as the one on your knife), I've managed to hurt myself, accidentally split the v-fin, and remove a huge portion of plastic in one spot, which I barely rectified with some sand paper. Did I mention that I am a leftie lol This requires time, effort, patience and practice.

I'd like to thank you for the tutorial - very straightforward and easy to follow. However, I'd like to mention one thing - the stress marks on certain colors and types of plastic are more visible, for example the Gundam 00 blue plastic really marks easily; the dark blue on Unicorns (not to mention the stupid gold on Phenex; as well as the red feet on many MG kits. I also experienced one thing with the white plastic - a nub in the middle of a semi-sphere (the ankle armor on MG Exia) - and after sanding I could see a darker spot there, but the coloration was inside the plastic itself. So, could you maybe revisit the tutorial one day and try different types and colors of plastic?
