I've found with Breyer horses (can't say much about Schleich) is if you leave them in paint stripper for more then like 10 minutes they start softening. I scrub mine Breyer with a paper towel or toothbrush and paint thinner.

You you have any lifehacks how to get the paint properly from mane, tail and all these fluffy parts? For example I have older shetland foal (the running pinto foal) and there is still old paint in it's coat 😅 I'm using thinner and toothbrush but the old paint is still stucking in the "holes" in it's coat

i would not suggest using acetone on plastics as it tears up its molecular structure (not only of the paint) - and whatever plastic is used, pretty nasty chemicals can get released in gaseous or vaporized form. don't do it!
