There are a few methods to strip paint off of concrete, including using a chemical paint stripper, sandblasting, or grinding. Each method has its own set of pros and cons, and the best method will depend on the specific situation.
Chemical paint strippers, also known as paint removers, are chemical solutions that are applied to the paint surface to soften and dissolve the paint. This method is relatively easy and safe to use, but it can be time-consuming and may require multiple applications.
Sandblasting involves using a high-pressure stream of sand or other abrasive material to remove the paint. This method is effective and efficient, but it can be messy and can cause damage to the concrete surface if not done properly.
Grinding involves using a diamond-tipped grinding wheel or other abrasive tool to remove the paint. This method is also effective and efficient, but it can be labor-intensive and may cause dust and debris.
Before starting any paint-stripping project, it is important to consider the condition of the concrete surface and the type of paint being removed. Always wear appropriate safety gear and follow the manufacturer's instructions for any products used.
In this video I removed aged paint off this concrete porch, steps and driveway. This driveway was especially difficult due to it being stamped concrete. I high recommend not to paint concrete, it can hold the moisture in and cause degradation. You want the concrete to breathe.
Its best to contact your local decorative concrete expert, or concrete supplier such as ready mix. they will be able to point you in the right direction.
I used Strip this from IMCO a Canadian company. The product is fantastic and highly recommend using it.
Tips;
wash the driveway first
get all tools needed, vapor barrier, pressure washer , brush or paint roller ,strip this etc
Apply between 5 degrees and 15 degrees Celsius (do not apply on a hot day)
Apply generously to the heavy painted areas, but consistently
wait and watch how the paint is reacting to the stripper, test a small area to find out.
Wait 1-3 hours before washing only if in colder temps.
wash off the surface starting at the bottom, or if you start at the top you will wash off the product before is ready.
keep the vapor barrier on until washing.
put a spill absorbent snake at the run off location

If you just poured it on and used a pool brush to smooth it, you could do this in segments and save the hassle of the plastic and boards. It would take half the time. Another option is to use a paint grid and roller. The tiny brush is killing me. 😅

What product did you use? I was thinking of using cobble strip because we have an extra 10 gal of it but I wasn’t 100% sure it would remove paint as we typically use it for sealer and definitely curious what you’d reccomend for this. It’s 750 sq ft painted driveway

I have several layers, and 2 different types of paint I was told (on my concrete) … xylene and acrylic I was told, Will the product be effective? Also what PSI for the pressure washer to get it off?

I think you need acetone or paint thinner scrubbed in with a brush, then a power washer at least 2600 psi, the higher, the better obviously but also have a surface cleaner attached to the end of the wand instead of that spray nozzle. Just my thoughts that’s what I would do if I were you, Mirotic acid would work too. Just make sure you need to dilute to prevent chemical contamination in the sewer and soak the grass before hand so it don’t kill it

This video wasnt the best. No reference to product used or how much psi calibration on the pressure washer. Like include a link to the product. Alot of people in the comments are asking for it and the name of it. You referenced its called Strip this. Cant find this anywhere.
