I have a Infiniti fx35. And the stock wheel color is silver. But it ends up with like water spots or damage after time. And considering it is a stock wheel color, it's kind of aggravating that it does that. But I found out that underneath the essentially sprayed on paint from the factory, there is a black powder coat on the actual wheel. So that is what you may be seeing on the wheel itself. That may be the black spots that you are seeing that do not come off. That may actually be under the silver paint on the wheel. I've found that using a powered buffer actually removes the factory paint from the wheel. It brings it down to the black powder coat underneath everything.

Can you use the remover without taking the wheels off

Great recommendations. While I was watching your video I had the bright idea that I could just use Easy Off Oven Cleaner. You should try that next time. I didn’t even have to remove the wheels.

Good video, but most videos like this are just removing some crappy rattle can job. The pressure washer alone can peel that junk off. I'm trying to find something that eats all the way through a factory audi rim, all the anodized layers and primers. Tough stuff. Not some cheap $2 rattle can job some 16 year old sprayed on (probably wheels still mounted on the car). It may sound like I'm hating on you, but I'm not. I'm hating on the people who actually spray paint their wheels with absolutely no surface prep. You did a good job showing how to remove spray paint, and this will definitely work for a lot of people out there!

This is a nice tutorial, but you should really wear some protective gear man. This stuff is cariogenic, which means toxic so gloves and a mask should be worn just to be on the safe side. Also, you should only use paint removal like this in well ventilated rooms or outside, again because it is toxic.

Do anybody listening to this young man please please wear eye protection and skin protection I don’t remember the name of the chemical but I used to work for a chemical company this chemical will actually strip your skin right off of your arm and if it lands in your eye you become permanently blind in that eye. This chemical is no joke it works wonders but it will leave you blind and it will burn your skin right off and you will scream bloody murder and you have to go to the emergency burn center so please wear a protection wear an apron a plastic bag and put your head through and wear protection for your eyes and your arms and hands this chemical is not a joke. And whatever you do do not go to a pressure washing area put your rims down and then paint it on your rims and then try to pressure wash them if this goes into the sewer system it does destroy water and it’s hard for the municipalities to get it out of the water you could be facing 10 years in prison or $100,000 fine. The best way to remove it is with towels once you remove it all with towels let them dry and then throw them in the trash and whatever little residue there’s left get a damn cloth and scrub it off please protect yourself this is so dangerous. Didn't you that was paint remover? It will remove everything. Even any finish. You ruined your look. Your now going to have to paint them.
