I’m interested to know how much of the wiring from the lift that was under the bus you removed. Mine was a bundled set of wires that went to a junction box of some sort where it had another bundled set of wires attached to this junction box (breaker?). The other set of wires was attached to a LOT of separate wires which were attached to something under the hood. Excuse the stupidity… I’m learning as I go along :/ I wonder how much of this wiring lift MUST be removed. I, like you are or were, am trying to get the floor ready to rust-proof, fill holes and get the spray foam in before the weather gets gross.

My lift only have the positive cable running from the battery box to the lift. The lift was grounded at the back with a bolt. Any other controls on mine were internal to the lift mechanism, so all I had to do was cut the positive and unbolt the ground... Without knowing more about your bus its hard to say.
