This is how to remove the shark fin antenna from a 2010-2021 Lexus IS. This is for the Lexus IS 200t, Lexus IS 250, Lexus IS 300, Lexus IS 350, Lexus ISF. I also picked up a carbon fiber antenna cover on Amazon and the link will be below.

Thanks for sharing. Ive done this previously on my 2010 ISF. Was similar for the most part, but only had to remove the rear light only (didnt need to disassemble trims/roof lining), and was enough room for a spanner to get the retaining nut off.

No problem. The side pieces technically don’t need pulled back but it does allow the headliner to drop down a little bit more giving more room to work, if needed like people with big hands 😂

Too bad the Shark fin isn’t right above the dome light. That would have made that process so much easier 😂

Amazing Video 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I’ve tried to, but the 3 taps on the back don’t want to pop out. Tried it also a little bit stronger and it feels like I’m bending some sheets. Do you have any idea what’s wrong?

Bro. I’m really struggling with wrapping my roof on my 2017 Lexus IS200T …I guess the sunroof is messing with me, Or I’m over stretching my wrap, but once I get to the sunroof I have way too much slack in my wrap and I just can’t figure it out. Any ideas or tips you could help me with?

I actually didn’t even stretch my vinyl for the roof. I pulled off the backing paper and laid it lightly on the roof and tacked each corner on the side of the car and maybe stretched it just a little to keep it flat. I then pressed from the middle to the outside and after the roof was done, I cut out the hole for the sunroof leaving about an inch to tuck into the edges.

Thanks I have a 2018 CT200 fsport and was a little concerned that my antenna was a little loose, potentially leaking water into the roof space/liner. Seeing now how it is attached I don’t think this is really an issue but will ask technicians to check at next service.

I'm having trouble removing my shark fin. I did everything u instructed. Only difference is my bolt does not look similar to yours. It also seems like there are some sort of clips in front and on the back holding the fin

Are there different type shark fin antenna's my car has a GPS and XM radio should I be looking for a shark fin that can handle that or can all of them do GPS and XM my car is a 2010 RX 350 There are so many not sure which one to get some are $20 and others are over $100 I just want to get the correct one? Thanks for the video even though it is a different car I could not find a video for my car.

Oh dang with that I’m not too sure. I only use Bluetooth with my phone lol. For the removal it’s pretty much the same process for every Lexus

My IS 350 C fin plastic cover is chipped Off not sure maybe due to Ice built up on the roof however this fin is up on the front guessing its the similar 10 mil nut holding it in

I have a question. I purchased a cover fin . Could I place the cover fin over the original fin to a 2019 a Toyota Camry.

Yeah if you purchase the cover, you can just put it over. I was taking mine off anyway to wrap the car and it did make it easier to clean before mounting the cover but not necessary to remove

@@MTParadiseI had the wrong fin. At end, I had to reorder the OEM fin shell. Then take out the old technology and swap with the new OEM fin shell. Drop the interior roof wasn't so bad. Thank you for this video.

It’ll be worth it to have a cleaner wrap and wrapping around it will look sloppy and be harder lol. I’m actually wrapping an ISF right now and I just took the fin off that 😂
