The six fastners that are under the dash are the type that have pins in the center, ... push in the pins, they release and come out easily. That is how they work, pry them out w/o pushing the pin in could cause damage.

Very simple. Put everything back together, and I mean EVERYTHING!. Turned the key? Nothing. Radio stone cold dead. Tore it all apart, AGAIN, begging the Lord to not let my son think his father is an imbecile that has screwed up his radio which USED to at least work and now, bupkis. So I prayed to the Lord and said "Lord, I'll never so much as take a screw from the junkyard again as long as I live if you'll only allow this radio to work...please Lord, PLEASE". Well, I couldn't find anything wrong, then noted something else wasn't working, so I decided to look at the fuze box under the seat and bammo, found a red fuze that had blown. How...I dunno. Perhaps it was the divinity reminding me of the 7th commandment, but one new red fuze later and the tune box was a'humming. Moral of the story. Disconnect the battery or be prepared to look like an idiot. And don't think you have full access to any "pocket parts" from the junkyard, or else you too will suffer some bad juju. Case closed.

I needed to replace the stereo in my 1997 Riviera. I purchased a Pioneer double din car audio unit from Crutchfield and installed it in about 3 hours using this video. I linked your video in my Crutchfield review. Thanks for the help Dan.
