Lotsa vehicles of all makes and styles have lug nuts that swell up over time making removal a pain in the ___. Here's one way to deal with them.

Did this today on my 18 off road Crew Max - same wheels,. Thought the dealer was trying to pull something. Never heard of all the lugs on a vehicle being "swollen". I hammered a 7/8 deep 6 point onto each nut to get them off...btw..can take a chisel and put it through drive end of socket. Then hammer the chisel on the concrete to push the lug out. Only the dealer has done rotations every 5k miles (almost at 90k now) and these lugs were on way too tight. To me, their guns are over tightening and doing more damage than the elements to these lugs. In my opinion, this is a vendor issue and should be covered by Toyota, not trying to sell us new ones for almost $600.00!! These trucks weren't cheap when we bought them - too bad quality of everything is so low! Thank You for video. Took about an hour.

This also works and is less steps. Take the punch or a 1/4 inch long extension the more metal the better, that is longer the extension the better to transfer the energy of the impact to drive the nut out. Take the punch or extension and orientate it towards the ground and drop them from 5 feet or more. The extension hits the ground and transfer the impact to the nut stuck in the socket. The impact will drive the nut out of the socket.

Not much racing this year, building a new car, lot of other projects. Back at it next year! What videos should I shoot now?
