How to Remove the Bin on the Dyson V7 (Remove the Clear Part)

If you are using the Dyson V7 vacuum ( amzn.to/2z6YPUZ ) regularly, there is a good change that you'll want to remove the bin at some point. This is similar to emptying the bin, but it lets you do a deeper clean. Remove the bin is not something you'll have to do very often, but it's worth knowing how to do since you'll want to do a deep clean every now and then!
Note: You don't need to remove the bin to change the filter ( amzn.to/2BGoRkY ), remove the filter, or clean the filter.

Thanks so much! I'm not mechanically inclined. You demonstrated so clearly and simply how to reassemble the Dson V7 after I somehow inadvertently disassembled it! I watched frame by frame of the reassembly process and you made it so easy for me to follow your instructions.

Omg thank you so much your proably never gonna see this but thank you so much I used my sisters vacuum to vacuum my room when she wasn’t home because she gets so mad when I use it and there was the dust in the bin so I didn’t know how to pull the bin out and it took me about 30 minutes to diss attach the bin and get the dust out and I had no idea after that how to put it back together you proably just saved my life thank you

I had the same problem! Nearly threw it out after installing a brand new battery only to discover the entire head stock was completly blocked up, causing it to surge thinking the battery was flat, LIKE A BRAND NEW BATTERY, then realised something else was wrong. Works like new now, and was confused how to pull it apart. from Australia Mick

What I need to know is how to reattach the bottom of the dust bin which fell off of my Dyson v7 absolute vacuum. There's no info. for that on Dyson web site nor can I find a KZfaq video about that. What a PIA!

Yes Thank you. I was having real trouble re-assembling it. Trick : connect BIN to HANDLE FIRST.

Hi so I have a Dyson vac v 7 thanks for the tips The rail has broken tried gluing it didn’t work tried looking for one couldn’t fine one there nothing else wrong with this vacuum any tips would be helpful Try explaining it to Dyson but they sent me a replacement bin which wasn’t broken it was the wrong part Let me know your thoughts thanks

My bin doesn’t slide flush into the two prongs. It’s the most irritating vacuum to pull apart and put back together. No matter how many times I’ve done it (more than ten times) it is never an easy feat.

Usually they means the bin is too full. Try to empty it more often

When I reassemble everything, the action on the lever to empty the bin is significantly more “sticky” my thinking is something isn’t aligned properly, but no matter what I do after reassembling, the lever sticks. Any suggestions? Ever have this happen?

Me to I can't reconnect the lid of the trash bin.. I aligned the grooves but inky 1 goes in . The other seems not.. not aligned on 1 side..can u help me?
