LG top-load washer disassembly - How to disassemble and remove the tub from LG top load washing machine WT7300CW to deep clean it. I'll show you step-by-step how to take apart the LG inverter direct drive washing machine for cleaning including how to remove the drum, how to remove the top cover, how to remove the pulsator cap, how to remove the wash plate (remove the agitator, which is an impeller... the wash plate), how to remove the tub cover, how to remove the stainless steel drum, and how to deep clean the tub to remove residue and odors. Disassembly and tub removal are not difficult with this top loader and only require a few tools; however, if you take apart your machine it will likely void the warranty. If your washer leaves residues on your clothes and/or the tub has a moldy odor, run at least three or four consecutive Tub Clean cycles with a designated washing machine cleaner (i.e. TIDE or AFFRESH washing machine cleaner) BEFORE it apart to see if that solves the issue.

Lastly, I took my LG top load washing machine apart in this video to inspect and clean the tub assembly, but was not having residue or odor issues. I did however skip running the Tub Clean cycle for two months before making the video to see what would accumulate. In the five years we've had this washer I've been diligent about running the Tub Clean cycle regularly and keeping the lid up and detergent tray pulled out when the washer is not in use. Once inside the machine, I was disappointed by some of the materials LG chose to use for some parts (Perhaps I'll make a video about it.); however, I was pleasantly surprised at how serviceable this washer is. Parts can be purchased directly from LGparts.com and searspartsdirect.com ; however, replacement parts are expensive!
Stay tuned for more LG washer repair videos... My kid's pyrite rock damaged the drain pump and LG's meager suspension rods/shock absorbers have worn out after only 5 years.
